See Salma Hayek Stunning In A Busty Red Gown
Salma Hayek wore a gorgeous red Gucci gown to the 2023 Met Gala.
Even if you’re not a high fashion or celebrity culture fan, it’s always fascinating to see how our favorite celebs dress for the Met Gala. While some stars play it safe, most dress in outfits that make them look like superheroes from the DC or Marvel universes. And we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney tried to get Salma Hayek back for more MCU appearances after they saw her positively spilling out of this busty red gown.
When most stars (like our girl Kate Beckinsale) must pick out an outfit for a fancy affair, figuring out which designer clothing to rock is always a big decision. However, we like to think that Salma Hayek didn’t have to worry too hard over whether she was going to rock some Gucci at the Met Gala. After all, she is married to the man who owns the entire brand, and we can only imagine the Gucci stock value jumps up every time Salma Hayek steps out looking this amazing.
What is it, though, that makes Salma Hayek’s Gucci outfit so awesome (aside from the fact that, well, it’s got Salma Hayek inside of it)? First, the glossy red of the bustier immediately catches both the light and the eyes of everyone in the room. The skirt also has a lace underlay that, while you can’t fully see it in this photo, provides a tantalizing glimpse of the star’s legs while she walks.
Speaking of the skirt, its crimson color perfectly matches the top, giving her the kind of coordinated red look that Daredevil used to have (sorry, Charlie Cox: we’re not clapping for that golden outfit in Born Again). She also has some platform pumps hidden under that skirt that help accentuate her figure by making her that much taller. And in her Instagram posts, she credits Peter Savic with getting her hair just right, and we imagine he is the man responsible for adding the rosettes to Salma Hayek’s hair that gives it that final pop of red.
There is a lot to be said about Salma Hayek’s outfit here, but we particularly want to call out that she tastefully crept right to the line of “too much” without going over it. Some stars always take it too far, including that one time Ezra Miller showed up at the Met Gala looking like a biblically-accurate angel. Comparatively, Hayek chose a striking outfit that accentuates her natural beauty without making her look like an anime villain, which is more than many of her fellow stars can say.
Those who enjoyed Salma Hayek in this year’s most recent Magic Mike movie will enjoy hearing that she will be starring in an upcoming movie, Without Blood, that is directed by Angelina Jolie. Hayek is at the top of the cast list, which is only fitting for this Hollywood legend. Of course, this red dress is just one more reminder that Hayek will always be a leading lady in our eyes.
