Jamie Foxx is evidently feeling like himself again after he was hospitalized several months back following a “medical complication,” reports Deadline. Although he’s since shared brief updates on his recoveries, he hasn’t shared specific details about the situation. In a recent Instagram post, the Oscar-winning star voiced his gratitude, reflecting on his challenging road to recovery.

“You’re looking at a man who is thankful,” Jamie Foxx wrote. “It’s been an unexpected dark journey…but I can finally see the light.” He added, “I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers.”

After Jamie Foxx was admitted to the hospital, the absence of updates led to rumors about his condition.

When Jamie Foxx was hospitalized in April, fans of the actor were naturally concerned. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared a brief statement on social media requesting privacy for their family as he recovered. At the time, the 55-year-old star was hard at work in Atlanta on his latest film, Back in Action.

After Jamie Foxx was admitted, the absence of updates led to rumors about his condition. Some reports stated that he was on his death bed. The silence was a result of Foxx’s wish to maintain privacy regarding the ordeal.

Last month, Jamie Foxx released a video explaining his reluctance to be seen during his recovery. Despite appearing very pale, he looked healthier than some reports suggested. While he spoke candidly, he didn’t disclose the specific nature of his medical emergency.

While Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization was serious enough to make him miss the red carpet premiere of his Netflix comedy They Cloned Tyrone, he appears to be making a full recovery. In July, he was back at work, filming a commercial in Las Vegas. Onlookers reported that he appeared both happy and healthy.
