Chris Noth has quietly returned to social media. The 67-year-old actor recently resurfaced on Instagram to celebrate his children. The posts come two months after various women accused him of sexual assault. Last week, the Sex and the City star shared a photo of 14-year-old Orion during a basketball game. And on Saturday, he paid tribute to Keats, the younger of his two boys, in honor of his second birthday. The actor shares the kids with his wife Tara Wilson.

Following his return to social media, several fans voiced their support for Chris Noth, with messages like, “Welcome back Chris. I believe you.” The posts mark his first online activity since December 11th, just days before The Hollywood Reporter published allegations of sexual assault against the actor made by two women. The first claimed Noth sexually assaulted her in 2004 in Los Angeles. And another alleged he assaulted her in his New York apartment in 2015.

In a statement to THR at the time, Chris Noth denied both allegations. “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false”, he told The Hollywood Reporter. The actor said the encounters were consensual. He also found it difficult not to question the timing of the allegations. “I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this – I did not assault these women,” he said.

A3 Artists Agency dropped Chris Noth as a client soon after the shocking story broke. Additionally, a Sex and the City-themed advert he filmed for Peloton was also cut from the fitness company’s social media sites. The spot was first released after his character’s exit from the HBO Max series And Just Like That. He was also fired from his role in the CBS series The Equalizer. He was cast as former CIA director William Bishop on the show, which also stars Queen Latifah.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Noth’s accusers were not aware of each other and contacted the publication independently. They also used pseudonyms to maintain their anonymity. The women said they felt “triggered” after seeing that the Sex and the City actor would be reprising his role as Mr. Big in And Just Like That.

But the actor’s problems didn’t end there. A third woman came forward with sexual assault allegations against Chris Noth in a report published by the Daily Beast. The woman who wished to remain anonymous said the actor had sexually assaulted her while she was working at a New York City restaurant in 2010. She claimed to have been 18 years old at the time.

Despite his long acting career, Chris Noth rose to fame for his recurring role as Mr. Big / John James Preston in Sex and the City. He reprised the role as the primary on-and-off love interest of series protagonist Carrie Bradshaw in the follow-up film and its sequel. But he only appeared in one episode of the epilogue series – And Just Like That. Los Angeles police have said they are not currently investigating the allegations against Chris Noth because none of the women filed any criminal charges against him.
