Brie Larson is already one of the world’s biggest stars, and her shine is only getting brighter. Along with everything else in the Captain Marvel star’s life, her social media presence is only getting bigger. She’s celebrating a huge milestone today, and at the same time she’s giving us all a gorgeous look at a familiar backless dress.
Earlier today, Brie Larson posted a photo of herself to her official Instagram account in a snakeskin print backless dress. Larson is in the foreground, standing in the grass not far from a country road. Above her the clouds have been manipulated to make it look like they’re forming into the shape of “7,000,000.” You can see the image below.
In the caption, Brie Larson writes “we’re now a family of 7 million here on Instagram. wowowow. thank you for the love and making this a fun space for me :’).” It’s at least a little coincidental and perhaps a little funny that Larson chooses the word “family” considering some of the biggest news to come out about her career in recent days. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Larson will be appearing in the upcoming two-part finale to Vin Diesel’s Fast & Furious franchise, Fast & Furious 10. She joined Diesel, the “family” man himself, for an Instagram photo op.
We suspect there’s a good chance the photo Brie Larson threw up for her 7 million followers announcement was taken a little while ago. Back in November, Larson appeared on Instagram in the same dress, and even sporting a similar hairstyle. In the caption she joked, “no snakes were harmed in the making of this dress.” You can see that photo below.
While Brie Larson is busy getting psyched over her new franchise, everyone else is busy geeking out over her other one. There's been no word from Larson herself, but it could be she'll be guest starring in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Early speculation was split between whether it was a variant Captain Marvel or Tom Cruise as a variant Iron Man battling Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch in trailers for the film. More recently released footage almost certainly confirms it's Captain Marvel fighting Wanda. However, considering the multiverse nature of the film, it isn't known if it will be Brie Larson playing this variant or someone else. Some speculate it will be Larson's The Marvels co-star Teyonah Parris playing Wanda's combatant. At the same time, there's speculation as to whether or not Larson might appear in the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
We know for sure Brie Larson will be reprising the role of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel next February in The Marvels. She'll be joined by Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeaum, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon will also appear, in roles that remain undisclosed. It is known, however, that Ashton will be playing one of the film's villains.
