Alexandra Daddario has had a good year. The blue-eyed beauty landed herself a role on HBO’s hit miniseries The White Lotus, nabbed herself a handsome producer as a boyfriend, and garnished herself a hefty number of new followers on Instagram, thanks to her unabating offbeat posts. After the 35-year-old actress attended the Christian Louboutin and Instyle dinner in West Hollywood Sunday night, she took to Instagram to share not only her outfit but also a familiar “dis” from a co-star.

The clip shows Alexandra Daddario walking over to her White Lotus co-star, Sydney Sweeney. Sydney is lounging on a sofa, wearing big black boots and reading in her vintage-inspired black and white mini dress. Alexandra adorned a bold sequin bedazzled lime green mini dress complete with green eye makeup. Daddario casually walks over to the couch and sits, awkwardly trying to get Sweeney’s attention to no avail before walking away. Her playful caption to the clip reads, “I ran into @sydney_sweeney at the @louboutinworld dinner and she wasn’t nice and made me feel old?
The White Lotus star was presumingly teasing her 30.7 million Instagram followers with the clip, as it was an obvious homage to one of the two actresses’ most memorable scenes from The White Lotus when the two women first meet each other poolside. The satirical comedy-drama premiered last July on HBO and features not only Alexandra Daddario and Sandra Sweeney, but also Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Jake Lacy, Natasha Rothwell, and Steve Zahn. The show revolves around an exclusive Hawaiian resort, detailing the privileged guests along with the staff who dance to their every whim. And while the resort appears to be a paradise, the six-episode series quickly reveals the dark underbelly of the resort. The first season was well-received by critics and fans alike, and this past August, the network announced the show would be renewed for a second season, set in a new location with different characters.
Even before Alexandra Daddario was wooing fans in The White Lotus, the New York City native had been gaining fame through various Hollywood roles. Her breakthrough performance arguably came with her role as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson film series. But it was her roles alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in both San Andreas and Baywatch that helped establish her as one of the most alluring upcomers in Hollywood, including being awarded a ranking on Maxim’s Hot 100 list.
Currently, Alexandra Daddario is filming Wildflower, a coming-of-age film that follows Bea Johnson from birth to graduation as she navigates life with an intellectually disabled parent and an extended family that can’t agree on the best way to help. Daddario will be joined by an ensemble cast for the film, including Jean Smart, Kiernan Shipka, Dash Mihok, Charlie Plummer, and Samantha Hyde. Other than her upcoming film, Daddario seems to be slowing down a bit and enjoying life, as can be seen through her socials. And although the actress plays that she’s been dissed by her co-star Sydney Sweeney, we don’t think she’s going anywhere anytime soon.
