Wesley Snipes

Wesley Snipes was once one of the most prolific stars in the world. During the 1980s and 1990s, Snipes was in a huge amount of action and drama films. Demolition Man, Money Train, U.S. Marshals, and The Fan were just some of the huge films the man was in. Naturally, he grew up in the 1970s seeing the original Star Wars film, A New Hope. When asked if he would join the biggest franchise next to the MCU he said, “Well, it would’ve been cool to be a part of the Star Wars universe.”

Wesley Snipes grew up like most of us did, appreciating the original trilogy for the magnificent films they were. Snipes may have been a little young in his career when Return of the Jedi had been released, but he could have been incorporated into the film. His first acting gig was in 1984 on an episode of All My Children. Then again, he might not have had enough experience to get into the films that captured everyone’s attention then. He just wasn’t a huge star until the late 1980s and into the 1990s. He did comment on the newer Star Wars continuity and was asked about The Mandalorian. According to Snipes, “Ah, Mandalorian, that’d be fun too.”

Wesley Snipes also brought up that he had worked with Ming-Na Wen in a previous romantic comedy called One Night Stand. Wen famously portrayed Fennec Shand in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. To Snipes’s credit, he was in one of the earliest comic book movies and franchises. He was the lead in a Blade trilogy, which held two fantastic films and one that was not so great. Blade is now part of the MCU and is being rebooted with Mahershala Ali in the titular role. The MCU is now part of Disney, as is Star Wars. It would make sense for Snipes to be brought back for either or. With the multiverse, Snipes could easily return as another variant of the vampire hunter.

There are a ton of new shows and films that are being worked on in the Star Wars universe, and now more than ever, we could see Wesley Snipes appear at some point. Although he is not the action film draw, he used to be, we could see Snipes being incorporated into the universe in some way. There has been no word yet if The Book of Boba Fett is going to receive a second season, but if it does, maybe the man could reunite with Ming-Na Wen. We could see Snipes as a ruthless bounty hunter.

Star Wars has grown into a massive entity at this point, and there is a ton of content that is being developed. There have been some secret cameos throughout the years that were discovered sometime after. Simon Pegg was in The Force Awakens, Jason Sudeikis was in The Mandalorian, etc. Although Wesley Snipes might want a bigger part, he could still appear in some small way to the delight of fans. Either way, we would like to see him appear as another new bounty hunter in the galaxy, for some reason, that fits really well in our eyes.
