Stargate Releasing Incredible Collectors Spaceship From The Sci-Fi Series

By Douglas Helm | Published

If you’re a fan of Stargate or someone who likes to build replica ships from the franchise, then Master Replicas has a treat for you. The company recently announced that they will be releasing a model of the USS George Hammond, which fans will recognize as an iconic ship from the television series that was under the command of Amanda Tapping’s Colonel Samatha Carter. Collectors will want to make sure they mark their calendars for the release of this ship if they want to add another exciting model to their collection (via Gate World).

Only For Collectors Club Members

There is a catch if you want to grab your own USS George Hammond model for your Stargate fleet – you will need to join the new Collectors Club that Master Replicas is launching on December 15. While the Collectors Club does come with an annual price tag of $99 USD, subscribers will get access to an array of exclusive benefits. For joining the Collectors Club, your membership will give you a 10% discount on all purchases made in 2024, 24-hour early access to new products, and access to six special online events featuring showrunners and special guests.

Additionally, the Collectors Club will give collectors the opportunity to acquire a set of exclusive ships from Stargate, Star Trek, Doctor Who, The Expanse, The Orville, Foundation, and many more. It certainly seems like a worthwhile membership if you’re an avid collector and model builder, though it’s worth noting that the membership doesn’t appear to come with any free models. Of course, it’s always possible that the benefits of the membership could expand in the future.

In the TV series, Hammond was the sixth Daedalus-class deep space carrier and followed in the footsteps of the Daedalus, Odyssey, Apollo, Korolev, and the unseen Sun Tzu.

Master Replicas also announced several initial exclusives for the Collectors Club that members can look forward to having access to. Along with Stargate’s USS George Hammond, there will also be an exclusive model of the Fourth Doctor’s TARDIS from Doctor Who and the Tachi from The Expanse. However, the first two club-exclusive ships have yet to be revealed, and they will be available for purchase on January 1, giving people a couple of weeks to get signed up for the Master Replicas Collectors Club membership.

Fans will have to wait to see the design reveal of Stargate’s USS George Hammond model, though it is expected that Master Replicas will be sticking close to the existing Daedalus molds for the series.

In the TV series, Hammond was the sixth Daedalus-class deep space carrier and followed in the footsteps of the Daedalus, Odyssey, Apollo, Korolev, and the unseen Sun Tzu. On-screen, these models looked identical except for the name emblazoned on their hulls, but it’s still a collector’s dream to get all of the model ships together in one place.

Master Replicas had previously indicated it had plans to release more Daedalus-class ship models after acquiring the original molds from Eaglemoss. Eaglemoss originally released the Daedalus model in 2021 before going out of business. Master Replicas now has its own license for the franchise, and we should expect to see more Stargate models and figures from the company in spring.
