Science-fiction superstar Katee Sackhoff is known for playing Lieutenant Kara “Starbuck” Thrace in the NBC Universal television series Battlestar Galactica and Bo-Katan Kryze in Disney’s Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. But the actress has also done some modeling work throughout her career, including posing nude for the charity Acting Outlaws. Recently, the actress posted a sultry photo of herself to her Instagram account where she appears to be asleep in a black and white lace bra, captioning the photo that, as the mom of a toddler, she has a five-second sleep rule.

In the photo, Katee Sackhoff appears to be sleeping on a couch with her arms resting above her head. Her face is fully made up, and she wears dark red lipstick while her medium-length blonde hair tumbles behind her. She’s lounging comfortably in a black and white lace bra top and is boasting a temporary tattoo on her upper bicep.

Katee Sackhoff captioned the photo explaining how her life is so exhausting that she feels as though she could fall asleep anywhere, even in the middle of a photoshoot. She went on to describe a five-second resting rule she has instituted for herself where she will allow her eyes to close for five seconds before it’s back to doing what she was doing—which is usually running after her toddler.

Katee Sackhoff also clarified that the tattoo she wears on her upper arm in the photo is a temporary piece. The actress explained that whenever she gets the itch to get a new tattoo, she’ll place a temporary one in that spot to ensure she likes the placement. Apparently, the actress loved the location because she finished the caption by announcing she had Cacho Tatoo in Los Angeles do “some magic” there.

Acting wasn’t Katee Sackhoff’s first choice in a career. In high school, the Oregon-born actress was a talented swimmer and planned to pursue a profession in the sport. Unfortunately, a knee injury stopped her swimming dreams, and Sackhoff turned to an interest in acting instead.

At 18 years old, Katee Sackhoff acquired her first film role in a made-for-television Lifetime movie called Fifteen and Pregnant, starring Kirsten Dunst. Soon after, Sackhoff began booking television gigs and appeared on the 1999 sitcom Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane and then Chicken Soup for the Soul in the same year. In 2000, the actress booked her first recurring part in MTV’s comedy-drama anthology series Undressed.

Katee Sackhoff would spend the first part of the early 2000s booking consistent small parts until 2003, when her Battlestar Galactica saga would begin. That year, Sackhoff appeared in the Battlestar Galactica TV miniseries as Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, a role she would reprise the next year in the 2004 to 2009 Battlestar Galactica television series on NBC, as well as in 2007 for the Battlestar Galactica: Razor TV movie.

Battlestar Galactica would be Katee Sackhoff’s introduction into the sci-fi genre, and the actress would go on to dominate more roles in prominent science-fiction features and video games. In 2017, Sackhoff voiced Bo-Katan Kryze for Lucasfilm Animation’s Star Wars Rebels, and then from 2020 to the current day, she plays the same character in the live-action The Mandalorian Star Wars series on Disney+.
