The next episode of BBC’s long-running science fiction adventure Doctor Who may have the best title ever. With the moniker “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship” you’re setting yourself up for some epic space escapades indeed. That name alone is enough to get me to watch. And if that isn’t enough for you, perhaps something in this massive gallery of photographs will pique your interest.
There’s a lot to consume in these pictures. Not only are the usual players present—including the Time Lord himself (Matt Smith), and Rory (Arthur Darvill) and Amy Pond (Karen Gillan)—but you’ll notice not one, but two cast members from the Harry Potter films: Mark Williams, who played Arthur Weaslly, and David Bradley, better known as Argus Filch.
Of course there are also giant, prehistoric lizards running amok on a spaceship, because, you know, why wouldn’t there be? But if all of that, still, somehow isn’t enough, there are big-ass robots. Seriously, this episode is like a checklist of every wonderful thing in the world.
Here’s a synopsis:
An unmanned spaceship hurtles towards certain destruction, unless the Doctor can save it, along with its impossible cargo… of dinosaurs! By his side are a ragtag gang of adventurers: a big game hunter, an Egyptian queen and a surprised member of the Pond family. But little does the Doctor know that there is someone else onboard who will stop at nothing to keep hold of his precious, prehistoric cargo.
“Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,” the second of five new Doctor Who episodes hitting the airwaves this month, airs Saturday, September 8th on BBC One and BBC America.
