Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were married from 1990 to 2001, and during that time, the two adopted two children: Isabella Jane Cruise and Connor Anthony Cruise. While it seems that both mostly stay out of the public spotlight, their daughter – who goes by Bella Kidman Cruise – has shared a rare photo of herself on her Instagram.
Bella Kidman Cruise, 28, is an artist who sells prints, tote bags, T-shirts, and other pieces featuring her art on her website. While her Instagram is usually examples of her art, Cruise recently posted a selfie of herself bundled up in the show. According to an interview with Nicole Kidman for Vanity Fair from 2019, Bella lives outside London with her husband Max Parker, and like her father, Bella practices Scientology.
Nicole Kidman says that Bella “feels more English,” mentioning that Kidman and Cruise lived overseas while filming Eyes Wide Shut, Mission: Impossible, and The Portrait of a Lady in the 90s. Meanwhile, Kidman’s son Connor lives in Miami, works in the music industry, and also practices Scientology. Kidman said of her two children with Cruise, “They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
After splitting with Tom Cruise in 2001, Nicole Kidman married Keith Urban in 2006. The couple had their first daughter, Sunday Rose, in 2008, and their second daughter, Faith Margaret, in 2010. Kidman was asked about her relationship with her adopted children with Cruise in 2018, to which she said “I’m very private about all that,” followed by stating, “I know 150% that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”
Nicole Kidman said that her breakup with Cruise made her focus on her job, which led to some of the biggest successes of her career, including winning an Oscar for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in 2002’s The Hours. Since her divorce, Kidman has been nominated for four Academy Awards, for her work in Moulin Rouge!, 2011’s Rabbit Hole, and 2017’s Lion.
She has also been nominated for thirteen different Golden Globe awards since her divorce, winning for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture – Television for her work on Big Little Lies, on which she was also an executive producer, and an Emmy for her performance in Big Little Lies. Nicole Kidman also recently executive produced another show for HBO, The Undoing, on which she starred alongside Hugh Grant. Kidman is once again nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress, and the series is nominated for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture – Television.
Yet even though Nicole Kidman already has an impressive career, it looks as though some of her most interesting projects are still on the way. Kidman just finished filming The Northman from The Witch and The Lighthouse director Robert Eggers, in which she will star alongside her husband in Big Little Lies, Alexander Skarsgård, as well as Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, and Björk.
In addition to that, Kidman will also play Lucille Ball in the film Being the Ricardos, and she will be starring and executive producing another miniseries from Big Little Lies writer Liane Moriarty, entitled Nine Perfect Strangers, also starring Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, and Regina Hall. But no matter what major projects Kidman has in the works, it seems as though her family and children will always come first.
