Now You See Me 3 Happening With Major Talent Returning

It’s official! Straight from the pages of Screen Daily, fans of the Now You See Me franchise can begin to let their excitement grow as Now You See Me 3 is on the way. What’s even more exciting is that many of the same cast and crew members are making their way back to move this series into trilogy territory.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, And Morgan Freeman Are Returning

As far as acting talent who we know to be reprising their roles for Now You See Me 3 from the prior two installments, The Social Network and Fleishman is in Trouble star Jesse Eisenberg will be back alongside The Hunger Games franchise’s Woody Harrelson, and The Shawshank Redemption’s Morgan Freeman. Between the trio is a massive amount of critical acclaim and awards, meaning that the folks at the top are counting their lucky stars to have each member of the team back in action.

Producer Alex Kurtzman Of Star Trek Fame Is Returning

Speaking of those at the top, producers Alex Kurtzman and Bobby Cohen will also make their return in Now You See Me 3. Outside of the world of production, Alex Kurtzman may be best known for his work as a writer on such projects as the rebooted Star Trek film franchise, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and 2017’s The Mummy, of which he also directed and produced. Aside from his work in the first two Now You See Me films, Cohen has backed such titles as Cowboys & Aliens and Definitely, Maybe.

Zombieland Director Ruben Fleischer Will Helm Now You See Me 3

Penning the script for Now You See Me 3 is Michael Lesslie who has been the words behind films including Justin Kurzel’s films Assassin’s Creed and Macbeth. Directorially, fans of Ruben Fleischer will be thrilled to know that the man who has attached himself to such beloved projects as Venom, Uncharted, and Zombieland will be behind the camera. A frequent collaborator with Eisenberg, Now You See Me 3 will mark yet another team-up between the director and leading man following titles including the Zombieland franchise and 30 Minutes or Less.

Expect The Threequel To Be Filled With A Star-Studded Cast

As of right now, plot details surrounding Now You See Me 3 haven’t been released but fans can expect more intrigue, heists, and adventure as the Horsemen trot on another around-the-world crime spree. In the past, the film series has managed to tap some big-name talent including Mark Ruffalo, Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan, Michael Caine, and Isla Fisher, so, while a full ensemble has yet to be announced, we’re expecting it to be another stacked call sheet.

Moving forward with Now You See Me 3 should be considered a no-brainer for anyone who’s followed the crime films. The Louis Leterrier (Fast X) directed 2013 movie caught the attention of audiences everywhere, raking in almost $700 million at the worldwide box office. By the time the second movie came along, with Crazy Rich Asians helmer John M. Chu attached to helm, audiences were ready for more stories about the crew at the center of the film.
