British actor Millie Bobby Brown has had a lengthy career thus far on Netflix, particularly surprising since she is currently only 18 years old. Bursting onto the scene starting in 2016 in Stranger Things as Eleven, she has embodied the show’s psychokinetic protagonist that is tasked with saving the world and the town of Hawkins, Indiana from supernatural beings. Parlaying the success of Stranger Things to other projects like Godzilla: King of the Monsters and its sequel Godzilla vs. Kong, Brown has become one of the most in demand actors of her generation. Her association with Netflix expanded with the mystery Enola Holmes, which has a sequel coming out in November. Now, we have a first look image at Millie Bobby Brown starring in Enola Holmes 2.

In the image of Enola Holmes 2 posted to Instagram by Entertainment Weekly, Millie Bobby Brown seems destined to carry on the role of Sherlock Holmes’ sister. According to Comic Book, the set of images showcase the strength of Brown’s character as she outruns police officers, in addition to welcoming back Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Louis Partridge as Viscount Tewkesbury. All three played the same characters in the original Enola Holmes, which premiered on the subscription streaming service in 2020. This sequel promises new adventures for the younger sister of the famous detective, as she is pulled into an investigation herself concerning a factory worker attempting to find her missing sibling. Brown looks to be in a chase around London, England and audiences will most likely find Enola Holmes traversing both London’s industrial side and upper class.

Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill starred alongside Sam Clafin in Enola Holmes on Netflix. The original installment was a success with audiences and critics alike, making it one of Netflix’s best original films in years. Rotten Tomatoes currently ranks the first movie as Certified Fresh with a 91% on its Tomatometer based on 206 critics’ reviews. It was warmly received by viewers on the Audience Score as well with a score of 70% based on over 2,500 ratings from users to the site. The movie was a financial success enough for Netflix to order a sequel, which will see the return of Holmes matriarch Helena Bonham Carter as well.

Netflix seems poised to keep Millie Bobby Brown in its good graces for quite some time, as the teenage actor is looking ahead to other projects beyond Enola Holmes. Twice nominated at the Primetime Emmy Awards so far for her work as Eleven in Stranger Things, Brown is beginning to really see her star rise. UNICEF appointed Brown as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, the youngest person in history to ever achieve such an honor. In addition to starring in the Enola Holmes films, she is also a producer on the movies, as well as producing and starring in the upcoming Damsel for Netflix. Damsel has cast several talented actors to join alongside Millie Bobby Brown, including Nick Robinson, Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. While Enola Holmes 2 is set to be released November 4th on the streaming platform, Damsel has a tentative release date of sometime in 2023 as the movie is still in production.
