Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart have teamed up for a buddy comedy on Netflix called Me Time. This new comedy has premiered on the streaming platform today, and from the trailers, it looks quite hilarious. Hart is known for his stand-up comedy career and his many comedic performances in films. Wahlberg is more known for a mixture of acting duties, as he is often in dramas, action films, and comedies. In fact, he happens to be one of the funniest comedic actors around. Apparently, Wahlberg had to be naked for 12 hours while shooting one of the scenes for the new film. He spoke about the long day in a recent interview with E! News. According to Wahlberg, “Unfortunately for me, the whole day lasted 12 hours in Long Beach on the pier.”

The scene in question is where Huck (Mark Wahlberg) meets his long-time buddy Sonny (Kevin Hart), but Huck is in nothing but his sneakers. The scene took around 12 hours to completely shoot, leaving Wahlberg to suffer in the elements. The good news is we are in the summer months, so at least it wasn’t entirely that cold, even in Long Beach. Still, having to be stripped down for an extended period of time does not sound good. Wahlberg did state that every now and again he would get a robe but having to shoot that scene was still quite uncomfortable. At least Wahlberg might have had Hart laughing at him throughout the process, which could have made the scene more fun to shoot. This is just speculation, but it could have happened like that.

Me Time follows Sonny (Kevin Hart), who is a stay-at-home father that plays by all the rules. He doesn’t know how to “relax.” His wife begs for him to take some “me time” so he joins up with his long-time wild friend, Huck (Mark Wahlberg). Huck is a bit of a wildcard and starts to get Sonny into all kinds of trouble. From cougar attacks to car crashes, the film looks like a hilarious buddy comedy that has the same time of energy as The Other Guys and Ride Along.

Me Time was directed by John Hamburg. Hamburg famously directed and produced comedies like Little Fockers, Why Him?, I Love You, Man, and Along Came Polly. He certainly knows the comedy genre quite well. Hamburg also wrote the script. John Hamburg, Kevin Hart, and Bryan Smiley served as producers for the film. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Jimmy O. Yang, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Tahj Mowry.

Me Time is currently streaming on Netflix, and fans can see how Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart work with one another. As previously mentioned, from the trailers alone, the pair of actors look like they had a ton of fun with one another. Sure, Wahlberg had to be in his skivvies for 12 hours, but it was likely to produce a hilarious scene. Fans can watch the film right now and embrace the suffering that Wahlberg engaged in to make us all laugh. We appreciate it, Mr. Wahlberg.
