Fans have much to look forward to as the God of Mischief returns to Disney+ in Loki Season 2. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the titular character alongside Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius. With an impressive ensemble cast of thirteen characters confirmed, the stage is set for a thrilling story continuation. But there are a few others who should make an appearance in the show.

Teen Loki

Teen Loki is a fascinating character in Marvel Comics who debuted in issue #622 of the Journey into Mystery comic series published in 2011. This incarnation of Loki emerged during a storyline called “The Reigning,” where the original Loki sacrificed himself to save Asgard. However, he was reincarnated rather than dying, effectively resetting his character.

Loki differs significantly from his older, more vicious self. He retains the centuries of cunning and intelligence but is less malicious. He often finds himself in morally ambiguous situations, trying to make amends for his past actions, making him the perfect addition to Loki Season 2.

Thor

Thor, the God of Thunder, and Loki share a complex and storied relationship in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Their dynamic is central to Thor’s solo movies and the larger Avengers storyline. In the MCU, Thor and Loki’s relationship has evolved from adversarial to a more complex mixture of rivalry and brotherly love.

After the events of Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor experienced the significant lose of Jane Foster but gained an adopted daughter. If Thor appeared in Loki Season 2, we’d love to see “Uncle Loki” in addition to the return of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston’s amazing comedic chemistry.

Odin

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Odin, portrayed by Sir Anthony Hopkins, plays a crucial role in the Thor and Loki storylines. Odin is the Allfather of Asgard, the ruler of the Asgardian gods responsible for overseeing the protection of the Nine Realms, and the father of Thor and Loki.

Odin could appear in flashbacks in Loki Season 2, providing additional context to Loki’s past and relationship with his adoptive father, who could help explore the God of Mischief’s motivations and decisions. Given the multiverse concept introduced in Season One, a variant or alternate version of Odin could also appear.

Frigga

Frigga is the Queen of Asgard, Odin’s wife, and Loki’s adoptive mother. She is a skilled sorceress with a nurturing and compassionate nature. Frigga is known for her wisdom and ability to see the potential for good in her adopted son, Loki.

Although she tragically died in Thor: The Dark World, we’ve already seen one timeline variant of Frigga in Avengers: Endgame. Could we see another that inspires her other son like she did Thor? Additionally, Loki may feel a sense of responsibility to honor his mother’s memory by making amends for his past actions.

Lady Sif

Lady Sif made a surprise cameo in the first season of Loki in an episode titled “Lamentis.” Loki finds her in a time loop, where she repeatedly kicks and scolds him for past actions. Her appearance was well-received by fans, and her return in Loki Season 2 would be a great addition to the show.

After supposedly having a larger role in Thor: The Dark World, derailed by Jamie Alexander’s real-life injury, she could get her time in the spotlight by coming to Loki’s rescue. Or even have the real deal acknowledge how the God of Mischief has changed his ways.

Heimdall

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Heimdall, portrayed by Idris Elba, is the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge, which connects Asgard to the other realms. He possesses extraordinary senses, enabling him to see and hear events happening across the realms. His abilities make him a powerful guardian, as he can detect potential threats or intrusions, potentially extending into other realities.

Heimdall could appear in Loki Season 2, as there has been speculation that his death at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War might not be permanent. Though, of course, there’s always the variant loophole, which may be especially needed in this case if Idris Elba refuses to return.
