After 10 seasons, Letterkenny is finally getting a well-deserved spin-off. This new show is going to follow the life of the local hotshot hockey player who was also a reoccurring character on Letterkenny, Shoresy. Series writer and creator, Jared Keeso, is set to play the titular role. The mini-series is set to premiere on Hulu in May, and the streaming platform has released a teaser showing off something fans have never seen before: Shoresy’s face. You can check out the quick teaser trailer below, which shows off Shoresy and his hockey team, complete with the best of hockey smiles:

Jared Keeso pulled double duty on Letterkenny, by playing one of the main characters: Wayne. But he also appeared as the fan-favorite character, Shoresy. How was this achieved? Well, Shoresy’s face was never shown, and his lines were read with a more high-pitched tone to differentiate the two characters. There is no telling if Shoresy will keep his falsetto voice, but it does look as if he got himself a bit of a haircut.

The new Shoresy spin-off show is set to follow the hockey stud as he joins a AAA hockey team, with plans to never lose again. From the teaser trailer and toothless grins, it looks as if the team in which Shoresy has joined are all meant to play some sort of rough and tumble crew. With Canda being the focal point of the show, it is no surprise that a spin-off is directly following the country’s favorite sport, hockey. The good thing is that fans of the series will finally get to rest easy knowing what Shoresy actually looks like. Based on the show dropping before Letterkenny Season 11, the question is now if the original series plans to show off Shoresly’s face from here on out.

Shoresy has the makings of the same sort of formula that the Goon films had. A bunch of big hockey players going toe to toe on the ice, while retaining their honor for the brotherhood that exists on a team. This is all speculation, but it looks to be that way considering all the characters are missing teeth. Sticks to the mouth and fighting are the usual causes for this type of smile in hockey. Letterkenny seems to be in great hands with Keeso at the helm.

The new Letterkenny spin-off sees Keeso writing, starring, and handling executive producer responsibilities. The show will also feature Tasya Teles, Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat, Blair Lamora, Ryan McDonell, Max Bouffard, and Keilani Rose. Even professional hockey players are getting some acting credits. Those players appearing on Shoresy are Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, Andrew “The Canon” Antsanen, Terry Ryan, Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, Brandon Nolan, and Jordan Nolan.

Letterkenny has grown into one of the most talked-about shows on Hulu, and currently boasts an 83% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. With the impending spin-off series coming in spring, it looks as if Hulu plans to keep the show around for a lot longer. Hulu tagged the teaser trailer with a “coming soon” designation, but Shoresy is said to be premiering sometime in May. Keep your eyes out and sticks down for what is likely to be another hilarious entry in Canada-styled humor.
