Kate Beckinsale Wears Latex And Talks About Lubing Up To Get It On

Kate Beckinsale explains how she squeezes into latex outfits to Jimmy Fallon.

Underworld’s Kate Beckinsale is always a charming talk show guest, even when she happens to be covered in lube. The star of the upcoming Fool’s Paradise appeared for an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she apologized to Jimmy if she happened to get any lube on him, clarifying, “it’s latex, I’m not always covered in lube!” She was, of course, referring to her black and white latex outfit, which she obviously looked stunning in:

Along with talking about her upcoming movie Fool’s Paradise, Kate Beckinsale also explained why she has Succession‘s Brian Cox as her phone wallpaper. It’s hard not to love Cox (the man, not the destructive Logan Roy), who has given an incredible performance on the HBO show over the course of four seasons. However, Beckinsale’s relationship with the man is more of a personal and fatherly nature, as she has acted with him in a couple of movies, and he’s best friends with her godfather, Harry Potter actor David Bradley.

Kate Beckinsale explained that she loves Brian Cox and finds his image as her phone background comforting. Not only does Cox apparently play a fatherly role in Beckinsale’s real life, but they also acted together in the recent 2022 film Prisoner’s Daughter, where they played an actual father and daughter. The film follows a terminally ill man who gets to spend his final weeks with his estranged daughter and grandchild after serving a prison sentence for the past 12 years.

While we unfortunately never got to see Kate Beckinsale make an appearance in Succession, which is ending after this season, we do have her aforementioned Fool’s Paradise film to look forward to. Fool’s Paradise was a film that has been in development for a while and finally announced a release date of May 12 after some production delays. Charlie Day, who directs, writes, and stars in the film, made some major changes to the script under the advice of Guillermo del Toro, which is partially why we’ve had to wait so long to see it.

Fool’s Paradise follows a down-and-out Hollywood publicist (Ken Jeong) who discovers a man just released from a mental health facility (Charlie Day) who looks exactly like a famous method actor who never leaves his trailer. Kate Beckinsale also stars in the film as his leading lady, whom he marries after becoming a big star. Along with Day, Jeong, and Beckinsale, the movie features a star-studded cast that includes Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Kat McNamara, Adrien Brody, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Glenn Howerton, John Malkovich, Edie Falco, Dean Morris, and Ray Liotta in one of his final roles before his death.

We can also look forward to seeing Kate Beckinsale return to the action genre with the upcoming film Canary Black, which also stars Rupert Friend. The Pierre Morel-directed film follows Avery Graves (Beckinsale) who is blackmailed by terrorists to betray her country in order to save her husband. For Beckinsale’s sake, hopefully, she won’t have to try and fit into any latex for that role.
