The Season 2 premiere of Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown just came out, and Deadline reported that Paramount+ changed the show’s key art to respect their lead actor. In the original art, Renner’s Mike McLusky is bloody and battered while the new art tones down the cuts and injuries. Renner recently suffered an accident in real life, and the pictures he shared with fans from the hospital were fairly close to the original art, so this was definitely a good call by Paramount.

Jeremy Renner has been recovering in the hospital after a snowplow incident. Fortunately, Renner is now in stable condition and is recovering from the comfort of his home. Renner has been keeping fans updated with his progress on social media and shared that he enjoyed watching the Mayor of Kingstown premiere at home with his family.

Jeremy Renner stars in Mayor of Kingstown, which tells the tale of a town where the primary economy is the local prison. Mayor of Kingstown is yet another hit show from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan along with Hugh Dillon. The series also stars Dianne West, Kyle Chandler, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, Aidan Gillen, Pha’rez Lass, James Jordan, Nichole Galicia, Ryan Rosery, and more.

Outside of Mayor of Kingstown, fans are also eager to learn when we’ll get to see Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again. We finally got the Disney+ series Hawkeye which gave us much more time with Renner’s character along with introducing Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Alaqua Cox’s Echo, and the first MCU appearance of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. There’s hope that we’ll get a second season of Hawkeye, though Disney has yet to officially announce anything about it.

Right now, Jeremey Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown is the only new project he has coming out in 2023. Of course, the MCU is always full of surprises, so maybe we could get a Hawkeye appearance in one of the upcoming film or TV projects. Undoubtedly, we can expect to see Hawyeke again when Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars come out in 2025 and 2026, respectively.

Until then, we should just hope that Jeremy Renner has a speedy and safe recovery from his snowplow incident. Mayor of Kingstown has plenty of episodes to check out in the coming months, so that should give us plenty of Renner’s performance for the time being. The new episodes of the show come out every Sunday on Paramount+, with the next episode set to come out on Sunday, January 22.

The second season of Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown has been getting decent reviews so far, with most people saying that it’s worth watching if you liked Season 1. Renner’s performance in particular gets the majority of the praise, while critics consider the other elements of the show fairly average. In short, if you like Renner and you like Taylor Sheridan’s other Paramount shows like Yellowstone and Tulsa King, you might enjoy this series as well.
