Electro and Killmonger are joining forces, but it’s got nothing to do with Marvel. Our trusted and proven sources tell us that Jamie Foxx (They Cloned Tyrone) and Michael B. Jordan (Creed III) are teaming up for the sci-fi thriller Chrono Force. The film comes from Sony Pictures, and will be directed by Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World Dominion).

We’ve exclusively learned Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan will star in the Sony sci-fi thriller Chrono Force, directed by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Time travel is possible but outlawed in the world of Chrono Force. The film’s hero is Agent Marcus Kane, who is hunting a temporal terrorist group whose actions threaten the fabric of reality. Kane will need to navigate a web of temporal anomalies in order to track down the villains.

While we know that Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan will star in Chrono Force, and we know the premise, we actually don’t know who will play the lead, Agent Marcus Kane. Since both actors are known as leading men, it’s difficult to guess which of the two will play the agent.

Considering the time travel nature of this upcoming sci-fi thriller, there is another possibility. Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx could both be playing Agent Marcus Kane in Chrono Force.

If we assume that one of the two will play Kane while the other will play the chief antagonist, then our best guess would be that Michael B. Jordan will play Kane while Jamie Foxx will be the villain of Chrono Force.

This speculation is based solely on the MCU‘s Killmonger remaining one of Jordan’s most popular roles. He originated the role in 2018’s Black Panther, reprised the role for its 2022 sequel, and voiced Killmonger in the animated series What If…?

Our assumption would be that Jordan wouldn’t want his Chrono Force part to be seen as a clone of his Marvel role — who, it could be argued, is something of a “terrorist” like the Chrono Force bad guys — and so would prefer to play the hero this time around.

Considering the time travel nature of this upcoming sci-fi thriller, there is another possibility. Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx could both be playing Agent Marcus Kane in Chrono Force. Foxx (55) is almost twenty years older than Jordan (36) in real life, so the film could see Marcus Kane’s older and younger selves needing to collaborate.

Foxx and Jordan don’t look particularly similar. But if movie magic could be employed to turn Joseph Gordon-Levitt into a younger version of Bruce Willis in 2010’s Looper, then the same could be done for Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx in Chrono Force.

Along with starring in Terminator Salvation, the Jurassic World films, and the fan-favorite “Nosedive” episode of Black Mirror, Howard’s done a good deal of directorial work for Star Wars.

Regardless of who is playing who, this won’t be the first time Jordan and Foxx have collaborated on the big screen. The pair starred together in Daniel Destin Cretton’s (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) acclaimed 2019 legal drama Just Mercy.

Both Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx will, with Chrono Force, be collaborating for the first time with Bryce Dallas Howard. But it won’t be the first time Howard has tackled sci-fi either in front of or behind the camera.

Along with starring in Terminator Salvation, the Jurassic World films, and the fan-favorite “Nosedive” episode of Black Mirror, Howard’s done a good deal of directorial work for Star Wars. She directed three episodes of The Mandalorian as well as one episode of the miniseries The Book of Boba Fett.
