There are quite a few props that any fan of the original Star Wars trilogy would love to have. Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber would be a great one. Or Darth Vader’s helmet. Fans of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo are really in luck, as his most iconic prop is about to go to auction, and it’ll likely fetch a pretty penny. If you’ve ever wanted to reenact the sit-down between Han and Greedo and find out who really shot first, now’s your chance to grab Han’s blaster from Star Wars: A New Hope for roughly $500k.

The iconic Harrison Ford prop was thought to be lost, but it was recently recovered by the Rock Island Auction Company, and they are putting it up for auction. According to Rock Island Auction Company, the prop is the last surviving blaster prop out of the three that were made for the original trilogy. The design of the blaster was based on a German-made Mauser C96. So, if you’re a big Han Solo fan and you have about $300,000 to $500,000 to spare, you could possibly be the next owner of Han Solo’s BlasTech DL-44 heavy blaster.

Since we likely won’t be seeing Harrison Ford as Han Solo again, having a piece of movie history would be a great consolation prize. We last saw Harrison reprise the role briefly in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He had a much more expanded role in the first entry to the latest trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Han had a pretty definitive end to his story, but Disney did explore some of his earlier days with Solo: A Star Wars Story. Of course, the role of Han was played by a younger actor, with Alden Ehrenreich playing the scruffy nerd herder.

Although it doesn’t seem like Harrison Ford will ever be joining the Star Wars universe again, there are plenty of other projects to keep fans happy, as Disney+ has become a haven for Star Wars fans. The latest series was Obi-Wan Kenobi, which brought Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen back as Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Star Wars fans are especially spoiled this year, as there are still more shows to be released before 2022 is over. The next series we’ll get is Andor, which follows Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Stars Wars Story in the years before the events of that movie. Andor will be premiering on September 21 with the first three episodes. A week later, fans can see the second season premiere of the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, which follows a group of genetically altered clone troopers after Order 66.

In short, while fans of Harrison Ford might be disappointed that he won’t be playing his first iconic role anymore, there is plenty of Star Wars content to enjoy for the foreseeable future. Plus you can always buy his blaster if you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spare. However, you will get to see Ford reprise his other most popular role when he plays Indiana Jones in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5. That film is expected to come out in 2023.
