In case you already forgot how Gwyneth Paltrow was sued earlier this year for a ski collision that happened in Utah in 2016, Discovery+ wants to make sure you never forget again. According to Variety, the infamous ski collision between Paltrow and retired optometrist Terry Sanders is set to be eternalized on the small screen. Optomen, the production company behind popular shows like Johnny vs Amber and Kim vs Kanye: The Divorce, is continuing their Vs series for Discovery+ with a documentary focusing on the legal battle that ensued after the incident.

Optomen is making a documentary about Gwyneth Paltrow’s infamous ski crash.

Fans are fascinated by celebrity struggles, something Optomen is all too happy to capitalize on. After immortalizing the six-week trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard, Optomen is at it again, making sure Gwyneth Paltrow’s much shorter eight-day trial gets the same archival treatment.

The two-part documentary will shed light on the civil trial, where both parties sued and counter-sued each other.

Apart from the Gwyneth Paltrow ski crash lawsuit documentary, Optomen’s Vs series will also feature Peltz-Beckham vs The Wedding Planners.

The ski crash incident, which took place in 2016 on a Utah ski slope, resulted in a lawsuit filed by Terry Sanders against Gwyneth Paltrow. Sanders claimed that the collision with the Iron Man star caused him physical injuries and emotional distress, while the only negative consequence to Paltrow was the loss of half a day of skiing.

Sanders initially tried suing Gwyneth Paltrow for $3 million, but was denied and had to revise his suit to $300,000. In response, Paltrow denied all responsibility for the incident and countersued the retired optometrist for a single dollar.

The actress claimed to have no knowledge of Taylor Swift’s famous lawsuit, where the singer also counter-sued for a symbolic dollar.

The actress claimed to have no knowledge of Taylor Swift’s famous lawsuit, where the singer also counter-sued for a symbolic dollar. Paltrow said that the idea came from wanting to show an example to her children, Apple and Moses.

When Colorado D.J. David Mueller sued Taylor Swift for defamation, the singer countersued for battery and sexual assault, asking only for $1 – Swift won and Mueller finally paid the $1 in December 2017

The legal battle between the two parties garnered significant attention for a couple of weeks, but after Gwyneth Paltrow won, the case was immediately forgotten about, until now. Thanks to Optomen and Discovery+, viewers will have the opportunity to delve into the details of the case through this upcoming documentary.

Apart from the Gwyneth Paltrow ski crash lawsuit documentary, Optomen’s Vs series will also feature Peltz-Beckham vs The Wedding Planners. This particular documentary will explore the Palm Beach wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, which ended unhappily for Nelson Peltz.

Nelson Peltz is suing his daughter’s former wedding planners for not returning his deposit after they were removed from the project just weeks before the ceremony. The wedding planners, Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, are counter-suing for breach of contract and interference.

As part of the Vs series by Optomen for Discovery+, the two-part documentary promises to shed light on Gwyneth Paltrow’s incident and the subsequent court proceedings. This anticipated real-life court drama is brought to your screen via Warner Bros. Discovery U.K. and Ireland, which has an exciting lineup of shows across various genres, including food, reality shows, true crime, and paranormal investigations.
