Martha Stewart may have a thing for Pete Davidson, it seems. During her appearance on Drew Barrymore’s daytime talk show (via CNN), the famed home decorator and author participated in a game where she had to wave flags to a series of dating questions-green for yes, red for no, and yellow for on the fence. The actress waved the green flag when asked if she would consider dating 28-year-old Pete Davidson.

Drew Barrymore referenced that the people on the internet have shipped Martha Stewart and Pete Davidson. While Stewart admits Davidson has gone out with many women, she doesn’t mind. Stewart called it “good” and even said the Saturday Night Live alum is “sort of cute.”

Martha Stewart then pointed out that she and Pete Davidson knew each other before. Both were present for the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber in 2015. Stewart described Davidson as “this little twerp on the Bieber roast” and even said he was “twerpier than Bieber.”

It isn’t easy to imagine Martha Stewart and Pete Davidson getting along during a Roast of Justin Bieber. Davidson made quite an impression on the entrepreneur, so much so that she continued to say that he’s “a very good guy” who knows how to “get in and get out.” While Stewart’s comments would make the shippers squeal in pure joy and amazement, the entrepreneur and writer later clarified that she sees Davidson as “her long lost son,” thereby dampening any chance of the two becoming an item.

Although Martha Stewart and Pete Davidson may not be getting together anytime soon, fans of the ex-SNL star can at least know he’s still on Hollywood’s radar. The 28-year-old recently nabbed a role in Paramount Studio’s next installment of the Transformers franchise, Transforms: Rise of the Beast. Details regarding his role are being kept under wraps.

The ex-SNL star’s rise to fame and relationships with many of Hollywood’s hottest actresses hide the fact that Davidson has suffered tremendous tragedy in his life. According to reports from The Sun, Davidson’s father, Scott, tragically died during the 9/11 attack in New York City. Scott Davidson was a firefighter who graduated from the College of Staten Island with a bachelor’s degree in history. Pete Davidson opened up to Sky News about how his role in The King of Staten Island helped close the devastating chapter in his life and to pay tribute to his late father.

The love and respect the actor has for his father is palpable. It’s no wonder Martha Stewart said so many nice things to Pete Davidson. Despite the comedian’s public lifestyle, the respect he has is admirable.

The question on everyone’s mind is where Martha Stewart and Pete Davidson go now that Stewart has called him “her long lost son.” Again, it seems very unlikely that the two would actually become an item, though Davidson’s track record in terms of dating is downright impressive. Who knows, maybe someday the two will find time to express their love for one another without the internet stalking their every move. Of course, that’s just being facetious.
