Christina Ricci showed off a partially see-through dress on a date night with her husband Mark Hampton. The Yellowjackets star looked incredible in the stunning Rodarte dress with floral accents on the straps. The outfit also featured a black lacy bodice that flowed into a colorful floral print gown as she accessorized her look with diamond earrings, bracelets, and a black clutch.
The couple attended a red carpet date event at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. The actress also shared her look on Instagram, tagging makeup artist Francelle Daly, stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn and her husband, who wore a classic grey suit for their rare outing at Casa Cipriani. Celebrating the CFDA’s 60th anniversary, the couple joined various fashion aficionados at the event.
The guest list also included celebrities like Cher, Drake, and supermodel Gigi Hadid. Away from the fashion scene, Christina Ricci made recently made headlines when she was cast as Marilyn Thornhill in Netflix‘s Wednesday series. The actress was only 11 years old when she portrayed Wednesday Addams in 1991’s The Addams Family and the sequel, Addams Family Values in 1993.
Jenna Ortega takes over the role in the new series that follows her years as a student. Speaking to Extra at the CFDA Fashion Awards, Christina Ricci gushed about the Netflix show. “The whole cast is amazing. Jenna’s so incredible on the show. People are just going to freak out about how good she is,” she said. Talking about her role in the series, the actress said being asked to be part of the new version was really meaningful since she grew attached to Wednesday after playing her in the movies.
Wednesday debuts on the streamer on November 23rd. Meanwhile, Christian Ricci has a new film called The Dresden Sun in post-production. Billed as a cyberpunk indie from writer/director Michael Ryan, the story follows a heist that goes wrong when a brilliant, principled mercenary with a traumatic past steals a valued asset from Peredor Corporation with the help of an insider.
At the same time, a financial analyst who despises his job at the powerful investment firm Mutual One, finds himself caught between deadly corporate rivals, financial fraud, and technological espionage, and is ultimately forced to run from a psychopathic military contractor, Deadline reports. Staring alongside Christian Ricci are Mena Suvari, Linus Roache, and Steven Ogg.
Christian Ricci is also preparing for the second season of Yellowjackets which will see Elijah Wood joining the cast. The 41-year-old will play Walter, a dedicated citizen detective who will challenge Misty (Ricci) in ways that she won’t see coming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is one of several new faces to join the show’s present-day story and the first to not be playing an adult version of an established character.
Set in 1996, Yellowjackets begins when a team of New Jersey high school soccer players suffer a plane crash somewhere in the northern wilderness. The story follows their survival over a harrowing 19-month timeline. It also explores the lives they’ve pieced together two decades later. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the popular drama series earned seven Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Supporting Actress for Christina Ricci.
