Best Places For Food And Games

When it comes to taking the family out for the night, or entertaining a group of friends, finding something beyond just the standard restaurant can make a lot of sense. You are going to want to find somewhere that has the food, but all of the games and entertainment as well. That’s where the games and restaurant combination has come into play.

Let’s take a look at the best places for families, parties, and just general groups to go for fun, games, and food.

Round1

There is a rock ‘n’ roll vibe at Round 1 which features food, games, karaoke, and just some relatively good, old-fashioned fun for families. There are a wealth of arcade games throughout, but you’ll also get bowling, billiards, ping pong, darts, and more. Oh, and just sidle up the microphone if you want to belt out your favorite song.

On the menu, there’s pizza, burgers, sandwiches, fries, wings, and a whole host of appetizers that will keep everyone in the group happy. And, of course, there are libations for the adult crowd as well. The company started in Japan where it operates more than 100 locations. And currently, Round 1 is going in 27 states throughout the U.S.

Main Event Entertainment

Main Event has all kinds of family activities going at their locations and they make for a great place to spend an evening with the whole group. There’s bowling, virtual reality experiences, and laser tag for some of the more adventurous. But they’ve also got the standards with pool tables, mini-golf, and just regular arcade games for every age and interest. Plus, they’ve even started adding story rooms for groups to work through timed goals together.

The menu has almost too many options to list with loaded appetizers, pizza, chicken, burgers, or salads for the lighter fare. It’s a one-stop shop for family fun and Main Event is growing for a reason.

Chuck E. Cheese's

Compared to some of the others on this list of family fun centers, Chuck E. Cheese’s is definitely more geared almost solely to the young crowd. But there’s a reason this place has been around so long and continues to operate more than 550 franchise locations worldwide. They have pizza, arcade games, and kiddie rides for the wee ones.

If you are having a birthday party for the younger kids or just want to keep the brood entertained for hours, then Chuck E. Cheese’s probably has you covered.

Topgolf

TopGolf is growing like gangbusters and it’s for good reason. This place has come to appeal to a wide range of folks and has set up a near-perfect hangout environment for just about any party or get-together.

Golf is in the name so you know what you are getting, at least for starters, with sections that amp up the game to a new level and make it accessible for folks of all ages.

They have all kinds of standard fare, plus the bar options as well. Geared towards adults more, TopGolf is also getting into the branding game with Callaway and is poised to be a major market force now.

Dave & Buster's

With locations spread across the country, Dave & Buster’s is the ultimate playground for adults and families. They’ve set the trend when it comes to this kind of outfit and they continue to do it as good as anyone in the business.

They’ve got all kinds of rec and arcade games for every age group and entice you to stay for hours (and hours and hours). And along those lines, they’ve stepped it up with virtual reality experiences as well.

Their menu features a wide range of appetizers, burgers, and entrees that will satisfy everyone who steps in for the fun.
