Jessica Ditzel: Who Is Joe Rogan’s Wife?
Jessica Ditzel met Joe Rogan while waitressing. They were married in 2009 and had their first child together about a year later.
For those of you who are into podcasts or follow the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), you are probably well-versed in the controversies that popular podcaster and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has brought upon himself.
Never one shy to express how he feels, Rogan is constantly in hot water for not only his remarks but also for the guests he brings to his Joe Rogan Experience podcast. What may be surprising to many, given Rogan’s background, is that the man is married and has been so for over a dozen years.
So, who is Jessica Ditzel and how has she lasted 13 years (of marriage) with Joe Rogan?
JESSICA DITZEL IS A FORMER MODEL
Before Jessica Ditzel came into Joe Rogan’s life, she had already lived a pretty full life. Born in 1975, Jessica Ditzel already had one child by the time she and Rogan met in 2001. Before this, though, Ditzel wore a few different hats. After completing her college education, she turned to modeling.
She signed a contract with M Model Management but for one reason or another, her modeling career didn’t take. After this, Jessica Ditzel turned to cocktail waitressing, and this is when she first met Rogan.
Prior to meeting Rogan, Jessica Ditzel had been in a relationship with Kevin “Dino” Conner, who at the time was the lead singer for a band called H-Town. Together, Ditzel and Dino had a child, Kayja.
The pair eventually split when Ditzel found out that Dino was cheating on her. Kayja stayed with her mother. After the pair separated, Dino stayed with his new partner. A few years later, Dino and the woman passed away in a fatal car accident.

The pair met while Ditzel was waitressing. Shortly after becoming acquainted, they started dating. For the next eight years, Jessica Ditzel continued to date Joe Rogan and was by his side through his growth within the UFC, his short film career (Venus & Vegas, Zookeeper, and Here Comes the Boom), and his podcast that went from nothing to being one of the biggest on the fact of the planet.
Jessica Ditzel’s husband also enjoys a successful stand-up career. As a comedian, Rogan has continued to present his controversial viewpoints, many of which he shares on his podcasts as well.
Jessica Ditzel married Joe Rogan in 2009, about a year after they had their first child, Lola, together. The marriage came as a surprise to many who had been following Rogan’s career because for years he complained about how marriage was unnecessary. Maybe it was seeing his baby for the first time, but it certainly changed his outlook.
“I always describe having a baby as just like doing mushrooms,” Rogan said in a Palm Beach Post interview, “in that if you’ve never done it before, I can’t really describe it to you accurately. … There’s no way I could tell you how much you would love your child.”
So, is this why Rogan finally tied the knot with Jessica Ditzel? “I had to,” Rogan said, hopefully, tongue in cheek. “Not really had to, but you know, she made a baby. (It’s) like, ‘God, all right, I’ll sign a silly legal contract.’ What she did was way more of a commitment.”
It must have worked for both Ditzel and Rogan because not long after, the couple welcomed their second child together, Rosy, in 2010. Somehow, given Rogan’s history, they continue to make it work. So, what is the secret? Rogan has his thoughts.
“She lets me do whatever I do,” he told Rolling Stone. “That’s how we get along well. She doesn’t fuck with me. A prenup? Of course. I’m ridiculous and dumb, but I’m not stupid.”
The wild man, though, appears to have tamed himself slightly, although he still dabbles in controversy. “You know what? Porn and strip clubs seem so different to me now. They’re not out. But they just don’t seem the same. Having kids just ruined it.”
It was on the Joe Rogan Experience in October 2022 that he decided he wanted to share a story about his “withdrawal dreams.” His dreams oftentimes are violent and he described the nature of them on his podcast. “My withdrawal dreams are horrible, like chased by wolves or shit. Yeah, they are all violent. My dreams are all violence.”
He then added that he is used to the violence and seeing injuries because he has been involved in it [with the UFC] for such a long time. He then shared an unfortunate incident that involved Jessica Ditzel.
“One time my wife, she was in a hatchback and she was taking something out of the back of the trunk. She stood up, she didn’t know the corner of the hatchback was there. It cut her head, and she is bleeding like pouring down blood on her face. And I looked at her, it’s nothing, a tiny little cut like it didn’t bother me at all.”
He said he remained unfazed by the cut, telling his wife, “…put some crazy glue on. We can go to the doctor.” Unsurprisingly, Jessica didn’t take kindly to Rogan’s suggestion. Fucking crazy glue? What the fuck is wrong with you?”
THE COUPLE NOW LIVES IN TEXAS
Jessica Ditzel is now 48 years old and enjoying life as a wife and mother. After living in Southern California up until 2008, Rogan and Ditzel packed up and moved to Boulder, Colorado. They were only there for four months when Jessica’s pregnancy brought them back to So. Cal.
In 2018, the Rogans capped their return by purchasing a $5 million home in Bell Canyon, CA. The area itself is remote but well off and Rogan plunking down $5 million for the house was well above the average home prices, which had been in the $1-2 million range.
Not to be outdone by himself, Rogan and Jessica Ditzel began looking in the Lone Star state for relocation purposes. Rogan constantly spoke about making the move on his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast and in 2020, he, Jessica Ditzel, and their children pulled up stakes and made the move.
In another big money deal, the Rogans put down $14.4 million on a home on Lake Austin. While that figure may sound like a lot, because it is, Rogan can easily afford it since he had just signed a huge $100 million exclusive contract with Spotify.
The new place that Jessica Ditzel calls home has eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The home is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and can call Sandra Bullock and haircare billionaire John Paul DeJoria their neighbors. Rogan and Ditzel have not given up their Bell Canyon spread as that is their main residence when they are in Los Angeles. The couple also has a third home in the Bell Canyon area.
JESSICA DITZEL STAYS OUT OF THE PUBLIC EYE
This may come as a surprise, given just how much her husband is in the public eye, but Jessica Ditzel has remained a very private person. She does not have a huge social media presence. In fact, while she does occasionally post on Instagram, her account is private, so only those she invites in are allowed to see her postings.
As far as her day-to-day, it appears Jessica is very involved with her husband’s popular and controversial podcast as a producer. She helps him with the many aspects of the show, making sure he stays on point with either his own thoughts or his guests.
