Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson can make a great movie on their own, but when you combine them? Movie magic. The duo will reunite for the first time since Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series in a dark comedy titled The Kill Room. While Quentin Tarantino isn’t involved, the magnetic actors will surely still bring us some engaging performances like they always do.

The Kill Room is about a hitman who accidentally becomes an art world sensation. Samuel L. Jackson is set to play the hitman’s boss and Uma Thurman will be playing the art dealer that gets wrapped up in the scheme. The movie is written by Jonathan Jacobson and will be directed by Nicol Paone. Nicol Paone is known for her work on Funny or Die and her first directing effort Friendsgiving, which starred Malin Akerman, Kat Dennings, Jack Donnelly, Aisha Tyler, and more. There aren’t any more cast details on the table right now, but there is sure to be more news in the near future.

In the meantime, Uma Thurman is staying busy with her Showtime series Super Pumped, which tells the story of the tumultuous beginnings of Uber. Thurman appears as Arianna Huffington in several episodes of the series. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Uber’s founder Travis Kalanick. It also stars Kyle Chandler, Kerry Bishe, Babak Tafti, Jon Bass, and more. She also has a movie scheduled to come out in 2022 called Hollywood Stargirl, which co-stars Judy Greer and Judd Hirsch. Julia Hart directs.

Samuel L. Jackson is staying busy too outside of this Uma Thurman pairing. First of all, he finally got the recognition he deserves from the Academy with a Lifetime Achievement Oscar. Though the news of this triumph was, unfortunately, undercut a bit by another incident, it’s great that the actor was given his due. As for new projects, he’s currently starring in an Apple TV series called The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. He’s also set to co-star in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming spy flick Argylle with Henry Cavill, Ariana DeBose, Bryce Dallas Howard, and more. Then, of course, he has more Marvel content in store.

Though this is the only Uma Thurman team-up, he’ll also be appearing in The Marvels alongside Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris with the TV series Secret Invasion. Secret Invasion will see Jackson’s Nick Fury working to stop an invasion of Skrulls, the shape-shifting alien race that was introduced in Captain Marvel. Fans are undoubtedly excited because this show is an adaptation of a major storyline from the comics and the shape-shifting means anyone can be a Skrull. After all that, we should get to see his project with Uma Thurman fairly soon after.

While we don’t have too many details about Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson’s The Kill Room yet, it does start filming in Spring. There’s bound to be more information as the cast and crew hit the film set and hopefully, we’ll get a trailer not too long after filming wraps.
