Everyone is patiently waiting for the new Timothy Olyphant show because it is the continuation of one of his most famous roles. The man is returning as Raylan Givens in Justified: City Primeval. However, things on the set of the series are not going as well as the production had hoped. The series is currently filming in Chicago, and that has been met with some dangerous complications. A shooting occurred on the set of the series last week, leaving the production to hire a security team that deals with “high risk” situations. The team is made up of former Navy SEALS, Army Rangers, and a trained hostage negotiator.

The scary incident that took place happened last week when two vehicles engaged in a gun battle smashed through the production’s barricade. Although no one had been injured in the incident, production was shut down. Timothy Olyphant had been on set during this scary situation, and there were rumors that he shielded a production assistant from the gunfire. That story has not been corroborated, but if it’s true, then he is a great man. Chicago is not taking any chances with these situations, as another shooting occurred on the set of Chicago Med recently as well. The shooting on the set of Chicago Med was equally as scary, as bullets were said to have penetrated the fence surrounding the production. A trailer had also been struck by some of those bullets. Thankfully, no one was hurt in that situation either.

Justified: City Primeval is continuing, despite the safety issues that are currently going on. The reports were that four cars were involved in this gun battle, and the shooting continued into the neighborhood where the production is being filmed. Now, Chicago is working with this new security detail and the Chicago Police Department to ensure that no one is in danger. The cast is also using stages now to protect them, as the safety issues are addressed. Also, the entire cast and crew can now take shuttles to the set. This was only provided to those who traveled from Los Angeles to Chicago but has since been altered to include everyone despite travel distance. We can’t imagine how scary this situation is, and the hope is that nothing more happens. Keep Timothy Olyphant and the rest of the cast and crew safe.

There are reportedly only a few weeks left of filming for Timothy Olyphant and the rest of the cast and crew. The Justified: City Primeval series is only eight episodes long, so it stands to reason that the series has not taken a long time to complete filming in general. Everyone is likely going to be thrilled to get away from the potential dangers that have occurred while on set.

Justified: City Primeval is set to debut sometime in 2023. With production halted for a few days, there could be a slight delay on when the series will be ready. However, considering there are only a few weeks left of filming, the series could be staying within its planned schedule. We can’t wait to see Timothy Olyphant return as Raylan Givens.
