Salma Hayek believes that every cloud has a silver lining. “Some people don’t like grey days, but I think every day is precious. Adore your week, No matter what it brings,” the 56-year-old wrote on Instagram yesterday. The uplifting caption appeared under a jaw-dropping photo of the Once Upon a Time In Mexico star wearing a pale blue bikini and a pair of oversized sunglasses.
The actress proved that you don’t need the sun to have a good time as she struck a sexy pose beneath an overcast sky. The picture captures the Mexico native lounging on the edge of a yacht as the waves splash below her, looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world. We don’t know if cloud-bathing is a thing but Salma Hayek sure pulls it off.
Fans loved the picture, showering Hayak with comments about how good she looked for her age and other compliments related to her timeless beauty. Most of the comments—including one from famous socialite Paris Hilton— consisted of nothing but heart-eyed faces and fire emojis. Just more proof that there are no good words to describe how hot Salma Hayek is with any accuracy.
Salma Hayek was born in Veracruz, Mexico, to wealthy parents. She started acting in telenovelas in the late ’80s but always had ambitions of becoming a Hollywood movie star. She moved to Los Angeles in 1991 and immediately enrolled in lessons to help strengthen her English. Despite her best efforts, she was told that her accent would make moviegoers think of “housekeepers” and was encouraged to give up acting altogether.
Luckily Salma didn’t listen, and in 1994 Hayek met the man she would go on to form a longtime collaborative relationship with, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. Hayek became something of a muse for the director, showing up in Desperado—her breakout film—opposite Antonio Banderas and going on to have parts in several other films from the director. Salma made appearances in 1996’s From Dusk Till Dawn, 1998’s The Faculty, 2003’s Spy Kids 3, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, all at the behest of Rodriguez.
Once she became an honest-to-goodness movie star, Salma Hayek went on to star in high-profile films like Frida as famous painter and unibrow Frida Kahlo as well as Dreamworks Shrek spinoff Puss in Boots, where she reunited with former costar Antonio Banderas. Indeed, Salma’s IMDb page is full of impressive acting credits like Marvel’s Eternals and 2017’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

Aside from acting and producing, Salma Hayek is most known for being a total smoke show. As anyone can see from the above picture, even at close to 60 years of age, Hayek has a physique that puts most women half her age to shame. While perhaps most famous for her ample bust, there’s really not a single part of Hayek—from her toned midriff to her arms, noticeably free of that hanging wobble that attaches to most of our limbs after 40—that isn’t absolutely stunning.
