Usually when the former The Mandalorian star Gina Carano makes waves on social media, it has something to do with her politics. The actress has stirred controversy with tweets about everything from the COVID-19 vaccine to the 2020 presidential election to HIV. But right now Carano is getting a lot of attention not because of her political views, but because a fiery photo she posted of herself in a see-through dress.

Gina Carano posted the photo to her Twitter account last week. While her dress may be see-through, she’s almost completely shrouded in darkness. Carano stands in front of a fire and you can make out the silhouette of her legs from the red glow of the flame. The actress is standing in a grassy area though it isn’t clear if the fire in front of her is a campfire, or set pieces burning as part of a movie production. You can see the photo below.

While Gina Carano doesn’t offer any commentary about the image, it seems likely it’s coming from the set of her upcoming film Terror on the Prairie. Directed by Michael Polish (Big Sur), Terror on the Prairie stars Carano as the matriarch of a pioneering family whose new life is upended when their home is attacked by outlaws. The film is Carano’s first since being booted from the cast of The Mandalorian and will be distributed exclusively to members of Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire.

This is’t the first time Gina Carano has chosen to be a little cryptic with her tweets. We don’t know if she’s allowing the image to speak for itself, if she simply like posting cool images with no explanation, or she’s trying to convey a message. Her more vague tweets tend to lead to the spreading of rumors, like in June when the controversial actress posted a picture of a figure standing on the fictional Star Wars planet Tattooine. While there’s been absolutely no word to suggest this is the case, the posting led to rumors Carano had mended fences with Disney and was on her way back to the Star Wars franchise.

While there’s as of yet no indication that Gina Carano is on her way back to Star Wars, it certainly seems like that if it were to happen, she’d be welcomed with open arms from at least some of her costars. In September Emily Swallow — who plays the enigmatic Armorer on The Mandalorian — called Carano “a lovely person” who was “very giving” and “very gracious.” More recently, Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito raised a lot of eyebrows when he named Carano as his favorite costar on The Mandalorian. Esposito called her “so raw and original and beautiful,” and received no end of criticism for his words on social media.

Gina Carano’s first production with The Daily Wire was originally planned to the revenge thriller White Knuckle. However, last month it was announced that — out of concern for vaccine mandates — production on Terror on the Prairie was being fast-tracked with White Knuckle‘s production pushed back to the first quarter of 2022. According to the Western Journal, Carano decided to do Terror first because production was in Montana, where she believed the Hollywood unions would have no power.
