“You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea.” Each new Jurassic Park flick has to figure out a way to up the ante when it comes to the dinosaur threat, and Jurassic World takes things to the next level. Not only is the newly revived park chockfull of dangerous dinos like velociraptors and T-rexes, but the park’s scientists have actually genetically engineered a new critter called the “Indominus Rex.” Director Colin Trevorrow describes the Indominus as “bigger, louder, with more teeth,” but this trailer suggests it may be a lot worse than that. Pratt’s line about it “hunting for sport” has us wondering just how smart this beast might be. Dinosaurs that consider you part of their diet are bad enough, but one that wants to kill you just because it’s fun? That’s bad news with a side helping of “oh shit.”
