Last night’s Super Bowl movie trailers were a bit overshadowed by the Patriots’ narrow victory and Katy Perry’s dancing sharks, but by far the star of the Big Game’s movie-related material was the latest trailer for Jurassic World. We got a few more enticing shots of the mysterious Indominus Rex, hints that Chris Pratt’s role is going to be even more badass than we thought, and a reminder that cloned flying dinosaurs really ought to have their wings clipped. Hot Tub Time Machine is one of those concepts that, on the surface, is so stupid that it couldn’t possibly be worth 90 minutes of your time. Sort of like Snakes on a Plane, it sounds like the exaggerated punchline to a joke about the horrible dross Hollywood groupthink too often shits out. But by god, Hot Tub Time Machine stared those preconceptions right in the face while its buddy sneaked around behind us for a truly vicious wedgie in the form of excellent casting and schadenfreude involving Crispin Glover’s inevitably severed arm. Even for those who don’t care a whit about the vagaries of sportsball, Super Bowl Sunday is still a time to be planted in front of the TV. You get to see the ads various companies have blown their entire quarterly budget on, and you get to see new trailers for the most-anticipated movies of the coming year. Except these days you don’t even have to tune in to the big game because the trailers usually wind up online days before. Tomorrowland Captures A Sense Of Wonder In This Super Bowl Preview

One of the 2015 movies that we’re super excited for, yet know almost nothing tangible about, is Disney’s Tomorrowland. We know that the film played a big factor in director Brad Bird not helming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which seems like a pretty big deal, and though we’ve just seen the teasiest of teaser trailers, it looks mysterious and full of adventure. We’ll get another good look at the film during the Super Bowl on Sunday, and because this is the world we live in, we’ve got a quick look at this upcoming quick look.

In recent days, the Super Bowl has become the de facto marketing kick off for the upcoming slate of summer blockbusters (and as we all know, according to the studios, summer now runs from March or April to the first week of August). We know that we’re going to get fresh new looks at Jurassic World, Furious 7, Ted 2, Insurgent, and likely many more, including Tomorrowland.
