To promote the game Star Wars: The Old Republic the game’s makers hired a bunch of actors to re-enact a Jedi fight in the middle of times square. Except, since they’re a big corporation scared to death of getting sued if someone got hurt, they can’t actually have them fight. So what they did is the next best thing. They had actors show up, whip out their lightsabers in the middle of a crowd, and then freeze in mid-battle poses for a few minutes while everyone who wasn’t a Jedi marveled at what the heck was going on.

Here’s the video of it happening, earlier this week:

If only the world wasn’t overrun by greedy lawyers. Just imagine how incredibly cool this might have been had they frozen and then launched into an epic, massive, lightsaber battle in the middle of New York City. It would have looked like this, only even better since it’s in the middle of Times Square.
