Step aside, Leon Scott Kennedy, Baba Yaga is in the house! Someone had the bright idea to put John Wick into the remake of Resident Evil 4, and to that overly talented individual, we have to say only the following: great work!

As reported by Kotaku, in a new video coming from a talented YouTuber eli_handle_b.wav, someone from Resident Evil 4 killed John Wicks’ dog and awakened the Baba Yaga within the former Russian hitman. The video takes Wick from the movie and transplants him into the recently released remake of the legendary classic Resident Evil 4.

We see John Wick excavating his weapon stash, whose insides mirror those found in the game, along with the HUD grid, and him talking to everyone’s favorite merchant about various weaponry he’s interested in buying.

The result is a nearly perfect crossover that makes us want to petition Capcom to make Wick an unlockable within the game, preferably unlocking a new difficulty mode called Ultra Mega Giga Violence.

In the new Resident Evil 4 video featuring John Wick as the main protagonist, we see more than just pure unadulterated gun violence. Instead, we also see Wick excavating his weapon stash, whose insides mirror those found in the game, along with the HUD grid, and him talking to everyone’s favorite merchant about various weaponry he’s interested in buying.

There’s also an encounter with the heterochromia-sporting Father Bitores Mendez, who is surprisingly immune to John Wick’s well-trained aim and the amount of firepower he sports.

But there are some comedic instances as well. For example, John Wick buying a rocket launcher to dispatch the Resident Evil 4’s final baddie is pure professionalism—though we can only assume that the “job” was noisy and messy at best.

There are several things to unpack here; number one being don’t mess with John Wick’s dog, otherwise no universe is safe. But better yet, we’d like to reiterate the question of why no one ever thought of making a mod that would bring Baba Yaga to Resident Evil 4, and would Capcom even consider releasing something similar as a DLC?

Resident Evil 4‘s original protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, isn’t bad with a gun, but he’s no John Wick. So, while a John Wick skin would be something fandom would probably gladly welcome, it wouldn’t offer that “scourge of the Earth” vibe Wick has about him.

So, the alternative would be adding John Wick as an unlockable—through a DLC—that would open up the new game difficulty. Perhaps increasing the protagonist’s firepower, ammo, and weapon-carrying capacities, while also increasing the aggressiveness of the game’s AI.

This isn’t likely to happen, as Capcom rarely entertains public opinion, regardless of the fact that both John Wick and Resident Evil are franchises at the pinnacle of their respective genre. Mashing one of the best horror games with one of the best action movies would undoubtedly produce a fast-paced bullet-hell survival horror action video game, a movie, or even both.

The comment section below the new YouTube video stands as a testament that the demand is real, with some commenters calling the video the next John Wick movie. Perhaps Evil Dead or House of the Dead are next on John’s list?
