The Unknown Movie Announced After Disastrous Wonka Experience

An AI-generated script that produced a sinister character named the Unknown is reported to be the subject of a feature-length film that is getting ready to undergo production. The Unknown is expected to be released in late 2024 and marks what seems to be the first time a character’s existence has emerged singularly from an idea that was spat out of Chat GPT. The character was only a small part of what has become known as the Wonka Experience, an elaborate prank in Scotland last week that had children crying, parents demanding refunds, and the online world rolling with laughter.

But somewhere sandwiched in between the disappointed sobs of the children and their irate parents, an unsuspecting star was born, who quickly took the internet by storm with the moniker the Unknown.

For those who might not have been paying attention last week, the Wonka incident stems from the well-advertised “Willy’s Chocolate Experience,” an event in Glasgow that promised to take visitors through “enchanted gardens” constructed from their favorite chocolate treats. The event also promised an Imagination Lab and Twilight Tunnel, as well as top-notch entertainment for ticket holders, part of which turned out to be the character now referred to as the Unknown.

Not much is known about the plot of The Unknown film, other than it centers around a couple that escapes to the mountains after the death of their son, only to be met with an unspeakable evil.

What attendees received instead was a warehouse full of cheap decorations and greetings from actors who seemed to have been duped by event organizers as well. The event description and webpage images were all AI-generated, clearly promising a day at the chocolate factory that was well beyond the realm of possibility. Actor Paul Connell played the part of Willy Wonka in the prank, reading from a script that he told reporters was “AI-generated gibberish.” But his scripted words revealed the description of a sinister presence at the Wonka Experience, a man that “Wonka” tells children is an evil chocolate maker that hides inside the walls of the chocolate factory. The actor went on during his performance, telling the children that the evil man has no name and that he and the other workers simply call him the Unknown.

The AI-generated backstory of the Unknown has inspired people around the world, flooding social media with viral reactions over the last week.

This was the cue for a man in a Halloween mask to leap out from behind a mirror and further traumatize the already severely disappointed children. The AI-generated backstory of the Unknown has inspired people around the world, flooding social media with viral reactions over the last week. Several artists have presented their renditions of this creepy specter, and the character will soon be the central figure in an upcoming horror film.

Kaledonia Pictures is optimistic about the timeline for the film’s release, its representatives telling media outlets that they are excited to film the feature in and around Glasgow. Not much is known about the plot of The Unknown film, other than it centers around a couple that escapes to the mountains after the death of their son, only to be met with an unspeakable evil.

While The Unknown will have a script written by human hands, it’s evident from the Wonka incident that AI is capable of inspiration in even the most unsuspecting of circumstances.
