Star Wars Caricature Designs Aren’t Real Toys, But We Really Wish They Were
One of our favorite things we’ve shared with you guys in recent weeks was these rather amazing designs for “Three Flavours Cornetto” action figures. The twisted minds over at Evil Corp put on their thinking caps to imagine what toys for Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End might look like, all filtered through Evil Corp’s delightfully cartoonish filter. Well, they didn’t stop when they ran out of Cornetto, people! They’ve turned their attentions to a certain galaxy far, far away, and the result are, I’m just going to say it, fantabulous.
The figure designs were created by Evil Corp’s Kibooki, who you can follow on Twitter in case any more of these things are forthcoming. It’s our greatest sadness to know that these aren’t actually real toys that we could line up along the edge of our desk, but we’ll just have to take comfort in the fact that somebody with a 3D printer could still probably make that happen.
Aside from the “by way of Wallace & Gromit style of the things, what I love most are all the little details, like C-3PO’s unmatching leg or the fact that Vader’s missing a hand.
As much as I love the Star Wars designs, I’m pretty much over the moon for Kibooki’s take on Ash from Army of Darkness. “This…is my boomstick!”
Or how about Dr. Frahnk-un-schteen und company from Young Frankenstein?
But wait, my love is a fickle thing because now I’m head over heels in love with these IT Crowd figures. SOMEBODY MAKE THESE A THING, DAMN IT.
You can see more of Kibooki’s designs on the Evil Corp website, including multiple iterations of both Bill Murray and David Bowie.
