Chris Noth’s Sex and the City and And Just Like That… co-stars, including his on-screen love, Sarah Jessica Parker, have broken their silence about his recent sexual assault allegations. Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who reunited without their fellow Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall for the ongoing HBO Max revival series, issued a joint statement on social media in which they noted that they are “deeply saddened” to hear about the shocking allegations against their co-star. More importantly, they said that they support the women who came forward and did not try to issue a defense of Noth nor their previous working relationship with him.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it,” read the statement, signed by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

Last week, two women independently came forward to The Hollywood Reporter with allegations against the 67-year-old celebrity, who played the longtime love interest to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City. Both women said they felt triggered to finally speak out against Noth in the wake of renewed attention being paid to him as a result of his brief time on the revival series And Just Like That… in which his character somewhat unceremoniously dies of a heart attack after a particularly intense Peloton workout.

The women Zoe, now 40, and Lily, now 31, each shared similar stories that took place in 2004 and 2015 respectively. Zoe claimed that Noth courted her while she was working an entry-level job in the entertainment industry when she was 22 and he was in his late 40s. They got together at an apartment building he was staying in that had a pool. After talking, he went to his room to take a call. She claims she went upstairs to give him a book and he forcibly undressed her and sexually assaulted her. Lily, meanwhile, was a server at a New York City nightclub when she says Noth, who was in his 60s and married at the time, asked her out to dinner, which she agreed to. They ended up getting drinks and he invited her back to his apartment. She agreed to go and says that she entertained making out with him despite not really being interested because he was a celebrity and she was a fan of the Sarah Jessica Parker-led series he was on. However, she says he then forcibly had her perform oral sex on her and then had sex with her as well.

Noth issued a statement denying that he ever sexually assaulted anyone. However, it was too little too late. Not only was the viral Peloton ad he was in immediately get pulled, Deadline reports that he was dropped by A3 Artists Agency over the allegations. He has also lost a deal to acquire his tequila business and faces even more scrutiny in the court of public opinion where, it seems, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will not be standing in his corner. Especially now that a third accuser has come forward to The Daily Beast alleging that Noth orchestrated an encounter with her in which he groped her while she was 18 years old. In essence, it seems working with Noth at this point and time is a no-go. However, it is worth noting that police have said that he is not currently under investigation stemming from any of the allegations.
