Paper Empire has added five-time Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer to the show’s already stacked cast. The actor is best known for his portrayal of psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane, who was introduced during the third season of NBC’s sitcom Cheers. This was followed by a widely popular spin-off show, Frasier which ended in 2004. However, he is set to reprise the role in a revival on Paramount+. For now, Kelsey Grammer will join the previously-announced cast for the upcoming action series. This includes Richard Grieco, Wesley Snipes (Blade), Denise Richards (The World Is Not Enough), Robert Davi (Die Hard), Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Helena Mattsson, Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Anne Archer, and Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire).

Kelsey Grammar has been cast in a recurring role as Oliver London, a Swiss banker who serves as the money master of a cybercriminal group. He will make his debut in the pilot episode of the series and will be featured throughout the show’s run. The project was purchased by Hannibal Pictures at the EFM in February. While no release date has been set, the upcoming series is scheduled to air in early 2022.

Paper Empire is created, written, and directed by Robert Gillings who is best known for writing the cult classic horror feature American Fright Fest, and the award-winning The Kings of Brooklyn. The Kelsey Grammar starrer is executive produced by Michael Tadross Jr, Bernard Salzman, David Ruggieri, and Edward Pershing (via Collider).

With Kelsey Grammer on board, Paper Empire tells the story of Laurence Fintch (Robert Davi) of Fintch Wealth Management Services. Thanks to his tech prowess he has become the most dangerous financial fraudster in history through the use of his “Digital Limbo” cryptocurrency blockchain technology. After an FBI sting operation, Fintch is taken into custody and ends up in jail. But he hatches a plan for a daring escape so he can corner the landscape of digital currencies and tokens, redefining the cyber world forever.

Meanwhile, Kelsey Grammar can be seen in the holiday movie Father Christmas is Back – directed by Mick Davis and Philippe Martinez. The film stars Elizabeth Hurley as Joanna Christmas, John Cleese as John Christmas, Kelsey Grammer as James Christmas, Nathalie Cox as Caroline Christmas-Hope, and Talulah Riley as Vicky Christmas. The movie was released by Netflix on November 7th.

He also starred in The God Committee opposite Julia Stiles and Colman Domingo. Written and directed by Austin Stark, the story tackles the complex world of organ transplant systems and the impact they have on the people involved. The film also features the talents of Janeane Garofalo and Dan Hedaya in supporting roles. The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June and was released to the public on July 2nd by Vertical Entertainment.

While nothing is officially on the cards, Kelsey Grammer recently spoke about the world of superheroes at a signing event. When a fan presented a Funko Pop of his X-Men character Beast to be signed, the actor revealed that he would love to do Beast again. Unfortunately, no one at Marvel has approached him about it yet, according to NJ.com. “I’d love to do Beast again. Nobody’s really talked to me about it. I think maybe they’re gonna try to do another one. I’m assuming that they would go with, you know, the first is the best.”
