While he may have been smudged from James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC takeover, Henry Cavill is on the list to appear in a new action feature alongside a slew of other major Hollywood names, including Alan Ritchson (Reacher) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians). The Guy Ritchie and Jerry Bruckheimer-fronted The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will keep audiences on the edge of their seats via some high-octane war action.

With production nearing its starting date of February 13, Deadline has just revealed a slew of names associated with the feature. Along with Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, and Henry Golding, audiences can expect to see Eliza González (Ambulance), Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike), Henrique Zaga (Beyond the Universe), Babs Olusanmokun (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), Cary Elwes (Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre), and Til Schweiger (Atomic Blonde) appear in the film.

With cameras preparing to roll in Turkey, the feature will be the next blockbuster hopeful for producer Bruckheimer who’s awaiting his film Top Gun: Maverick’s fate at this year’s Academy Award celebrations. He’ll be joined in production by Chad Oman, Ivan Atkinson, and Black Bear International’s John Friedberg.

Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, Arash Amel, and Guy Ritchie adapted the film’s script from author Damien Lewis’ best-selling book of the same name. In it, Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, and the rest of the top-billed cast will piece together the true story of a top-secret WWII offensive organization put into place by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming. Pulling out all the stops to nail their objective, the secret group, which would eventually morph into the Black Ops unit, let barely anything stand in the way – including morals – of bringing down their Nazi opponents.

As of right now, no roles have been revealed, leaving us to only speculate who each cast member will be playing. We can safely assume through their background in action projects, Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson will be part of the ruthless team of “ungentlemanly” troops. With everyone from John Lithgow (The Crown) to Brian Cox (Churchill) and Timothy Spall (The King’s Speech) stepping into the role of renowned British Prime Minister Winston Churchill over the last several years, it will be interesting to find out who Ritchie and his team select to be the next actor for the iconic role.

While Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson haven’t yet appeared side by side on screen together, the duo do share the connection of the DC universe. For Cavill, of course, that means his portrayal of Superman in four films over the last decade. Since it was announced that the beloved actor would no longer be donning the Man of Steel’s cape and nor would he be returning to the role of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s hit series The Witcher, the actor has been busying himself with other projects including the mysterious Argylle and the yet-to-be-titled Warhammer 40,000 adaptation.

Alan Ritchson in Reacher

Like Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson carved out a name for himself in the on-screen world of DC through the series Titans where he portrayed Hank Hall, aka Hawk. These days, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star has most notably appeared as the titular character in Prime Video’s Reacher, and will soon be featured in both Fast X and Ordinary Angels. As of right now, no release date has been set for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
