A Norwegian Gem-class ship

The Hallmark Channel has long held its position as the go-to network for original Christmas programming, providing dozens of new films each year to families imbued with the holiday spirit. Now, the television network has announced plans to bring Christmas onto the high seas with a one-of-a-kind experience called the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Hallmark Channel Christmas movie megafans can experience a special curated cruise just in time for the Holidays.

The network is producing the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise in partnership with the theme cruise charter company Sixthman to create a delightful experience for couples, kids, and families all over the world who need a little ocean adventure to get them into the spirit of giving.

The cruise is set to be held on the Norwegian Gem ship and is scheduled to set sail on November 5-9, 2024.

Obviously, an excursion such as this calls for a great deal of planning and moving parts, which is why tickets are going on sale for the event so far ahead of schedule. For many families, July is too soon to consider anything Christmas related, as the Halloween festivities have not even begun, let alone Christmas of the following year.

Of course, for those who have the ability and foresight to plan their Christmas getaways 18 months in advance, tickets for the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise are on presale now through July 19, with bookings for the general public opening as early as July 21.

Christmas In Homestead

In addition to a host of high seas fun and games, the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise will allow passengers the chance to engross themselves within the glamorous world of Hallmark holiday classics by offering them a chance to mingle with Hallmark film stars and participate in delightful group activities.

The Hallmark Channel produced 40 Christmas movies in 2022, with the total number rapidly approaching 500.

The cruise is set to take off from Miami, Florida, and travel as far as Nassau, Bahamas, for a tropical getaway that certainly won’t be blanketed by snow.

Activities offered on the cruise include a world premiere of a brand new Hallmark channel Christmas film, a tree lighting ceremony, Christmas cookie decorating, an ugly sweater contest, and a host of other holiday hijinks with friends, loved ones, and Hallmark stars.

The cruise also offers a wine tasting, sure to give passengers a helping of a number of the channel’s best beverages.

A Fabled Holiday

Though the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise sounds like a blast, tickets are expected to move fast, with incredibly pricey packages starting at over $800 per guest.

The Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise will feature plenty of Holiday activities, from a tree lighting to cookie decorating.

Of course, the booking site offers a number of payment plan options, as well as deposits that reach minimums of only $100, meaning the trip could be paid off long before the ship even sets sail a year and a half from now.

If you and your family have made a tradition out of gathering around the fireplace to drink hot chocolate and watch Hallmark films, and you’ve got a spare $5,000 burning a hole in your holiday pajamas, you can purchase your tickets this week!

Though it sounds like a classic premise for another one of the Hallmark channel’s campy films, the Christmas cruise is real and sets sail in November 2024.
