With rumors turning into leaks turning into full-on confirmations, the news of Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop in the upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye continues to get better. This time, it’s not necessarily news, but actual set pictures that show Steinfeld in her full Kate Bishop costume.

The pictures, which undoubtedly are from the set, show Hailee Steinfeld standing against a blue screen, wearing her Kate Bishop (quite comic book accurate, by the way) and drawing back her bowstring, ready to fire.

This isn’t the first pictures fans have seen from the set as Hailee Steinfeld recently shared a picture of a beat-up Kate Bishop laying in what looks like some sort of vehicle.

There have also been many leaked behind-the-scenes photos and video showing Hailee Steinfeld in action, which include her stunt double. There is also a first-look photo of Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton (via Just Jared) as they will appear in Hawkeye.

For the longest time, Hailee Steinfeld had to keep it to herself, though it was slowly becoming the worst kept secret. But when she was finally able to confirm Kate Bishop and Hawkeye, the Bumblebee star was more than thrilled. “It’s amazing, my God, to finally be able to confirm. It’s such an honor, my goodness, to be playing this role and I’m so, so excited about it,” Steinfeld said via Movieweb to her fans late last year. “It felt so wonderful to be back at work, I feel so grateful. It’s been a very crazy year of not knowing if that was gonna happen for a while, so, happy to be back at work and playing this character. It’s gonna be really fun. I’m excited for people to see it. I’m excited to see it.”

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as the title character/Clint Barton, Hailee Steinfeld as Bishop, with Farmiga playing Eleanor Bishop and Dalton as Swordsman. The series will also star Fra Fee as The Clown, Alaqua Cox as Echo, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, and reprising her role from Black Widow is Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.

Not much is known about the plot of Hawkeye other than the fact that Barton will take Hailee Steinfeld’s Bishop under his wing and teach her the ways of becoming Hawkeye. Bishop, like Barton, is a highly skilled archer as well as a martial artist. There has been quite a bit of speculation, though, concerning the series’ plot since the villain The Clown has been leaked to star. The series may be taking its cue from the Matt Fraction comic book run that began in 2012 where Clint Barton had to deal with sudden hearing loss from a battle he had with The Clown. In it, Barton’s hearing loss was due to The Clown stabbing Barton in both ears with his arrows. While this is not confirmed it does go toward the fact that on several set photos, Renner can be seen with small inner ear hearing aids suggesting that this may be the direction the series will go.

With Kate Bishop eventually taking over the mantle of Hawkeye, Disney has yet to confirm speculation that Hailee Steinfeld will get her own Hawkeye spin-off series, which we assume she wouldn’t turn down.

There is no premiere date set for Hawkeye as Disney and Marvel still look to be trying to come to a consensus regarding the order of their Marvel release schedule. With Black Widow continuously being pushed back, and Marvel president Kevin Feige now reportedly fighting Disney about them wanting a Black Widow hybrid release (theaters and Disney+ together), the best guess for Hailee Steinfeld’s Hawkeye would be late 2021 or early 2022.
