It is nothing short of a miracle for a character to die on-screen, only to come back years later and get his own show! Yes, we are talking about the badass bounty hunter Boba Fett, played by the amazing Temuera Morrison, who made a splashing comeback in the Season 2 of Star Wars’ The Mandalorian, and is now headlining his own show with The Book of Boba Fett. And looks like, in the time he spent away from the galaxy far, far away, he learned a few neat tricks about how to keep the spotlight to himself.

Recently, Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen, the two lead stars of The Book of Boba Fett, sat down for a chat with Screenrant to talk at length about how fans have been loving their return to the world of Star Wars. During the conversation, Morrison hilariously revealed the neat trick he puts to use while shooting for the Star Wars series: he became besties with the focus puller i.e., the First Assistant Camera. This way he ensures that even when a scene includes both Boba and Fennec Shand, he is the only one in focus.

“I have a big trick though. I’ve become very close friends — not with the director, not with the director of photography —  but with the focus puller. The focus puller always keeps the actors in focus. Generally, the audience looked at the actor in focus, I always make sure to buy the focus puller a couple of beers. And so when the two of us are in shot, Ming-Na and myself are in the same shot, well obviously, the focus puller keeps me in focus and Ming’s the one out of focus,” the Book of Boba Fett actor shared.

Being a good sport, Ming-Na Wen assured that she has no issue at being a little fuzzy in a few scenes. Temuera Morrison knows that his fellow co-star “likes that fuzzy beauty look.”

So far, two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett have debuted on Disney Plus. The series takes off right from where the post-credits scene of The Mandalorian Season 2 left the duo–with Bib Fortuna dead, Boba Fett takes over as the throne of Tatooine, becoming the boss of the criminal epicenter of the galaxy. But it is becoming obvious that merely killing the Bib Fortuna and having the badass Fennec Shand by his side won’t be enough for Boba to establish his claim as the crime lord.

While Boba plans to use respect instead of fear to rule, there are many who are dead-set on forcing his hand. The first two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett have also solved the biggest mystery associated with the titular character: how he survived the deadly fall in the Sarlacc Pit in Star War: Episode IV- Return of the Jedi and how his armor ended up in the possession of Cobb Vanth.

The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, the former bounty hunter and the crime lord of Tatooine; Ming-Na Wen is seen as Fennec Shand, an assassin loyal to Boba; Matt Berry as the voice of the droid 8D8; David Pasquesi as the Twi’lek majordomo to Mok Shaiz, Mayor of Mos Espa on Tatooine; Jennifer Beals as Garsa Fwip, a Twi’lek who runs the Sanctuary, and Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) in a yet undisclosed role.

The episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are directed by Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Steph Green, Kevin Tancharoen, and Dave Filoni. Favreau, Filoni, Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are also on board as executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, while John Bartnicki is the producer and John Hampian is the co-producer. Weekly episodes of the Disney+ series air on the streamer on Wednesdays.
