Alexandra Daddario is one of our favorite people to cover here, and we don’t think there is any possible question why. Daddario is one of the more talented (and definitely most up and coming) actors of her generation, and each new role just shows a little more of the range she brings to projects like True Detective and The White Lotus. Of course, she is also one of the most beautiful people currently walking around on the planet Earth, and that helps a lot too. In a recent post on her very well-curated Instagram account, the Percy Jackson actor showed off a sleek, ethereal look that many stars only wish they could pull off. Check out the slides here:
In the first image, Alexandra Daddario is in a tight close-up, turned a quarter towards the camera. Her dark brown hair is pulled tightly back, with only a few puffs of bangs escaping across her forehead. Her mouth is slightly open and her lips are immaculately made up with a glossy, cherry-red lipstick. Daddario has a very light, barely sparkling eyeshadow on, and her famously intense blue eyes are cast down to her bare shoulders. It’s all very impressive. The following slide has the star of Hall Pass in a full-length shot, wearing a form-fighting black outfit. Her trousers are neatly cut and reach down to a flared cuff, while the top is an off the shoulder, incredibly body-hugging piece. The outfit is tied together with a black belt with a silver clasp. The third slide shows Daddario in the same get-up, with a different, more direct pose straight to camera. The fourth and final image in the post shifts to monochrome, and shows off Daddario at another quarter turn, wearing the same off the shoulder top. This time, her eyes are widely, almost disturbingly open, giving the image a haunting, almost unearthly look.
Which is a fitting segue to get into one of Alexandra Daddario’s most prominent upcoming roles. The actor has been cast in the upcoming AMC series, Lives of the Mayfair Witches. She will be taking a lead role, portraying Rowan Mayfair, a neurosurgeon and powerful witch in a long and troubled dynasty of magic users. The show is based on a series of novels by writer Anne Rice, who passed away in 2021. While Rice was best known for her long-running series of novels based on an interconnected world of vampires, her Mayfair series ran parallel to that and eventually shared characters. Rice saw two of her books adapted to film in her lifetime, 1994’s Interview with the Vampire (starring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and a young Kirsten Dunst) and 2002’s Queen of the Damned (which starred Aaliyah and Stuart Townsend). AMC is also producing a series based on the Vampire novels, so it looks like they are going all-in on the supernatural-gothic-somewhat-erotic material for the time being. With her level of otherworldly beauty and those piercing blue eyes, Alexandra Daddario is perfectly cast for the role and we’ll be looking forward to Lives of the Mayfair Witches. And also her next Instagram post.
