Rocksteady has brought us some of the best superhero games in recent years, and now it looks like we’ll be getting a great villain game from them too, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The game was previously revealed to star Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark as playable characters.

Now, a recent leak suggests we may be getting Killer Croc as a DLC character . Killer Croc would definitely be a good addition to the squad if they are indeed going to take down the all-powerful Justice League.

Data Miner Spills The Beans

The Suicide Squad leak comes from data miner and Twitter user mmmmmmmmiller, who previously leaked information about Marvel’s Avengers game before its release. In a series of Twitter posts, mmmmmmmmiller included some emojis about the playable characters, including a crocodile emoji, which would obviously allude to Killer Croc. This wouldn’t be the first time that Killer Croc has appeared in one of Rocksteady’s games, so it’s definitely not a character the game company would be afraid to use.

Killer Croc in The Arkham Series

In Rocksteady’s Arkham series, where players step into the cape of Batman himself, you face off against Killer Croc in Arkham Asylum in his own territory. Later, the character is seen again in Arkham Knight. Killer Croc is a villain that has a condition that makes him into a humanoid crocodile and he’s an incredibly strong and fearsome foe – one that would be plenty useful in the Suicide Squad.

Task Force X

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sees players take control of Task Force X, assembled by Amanda Waller. As the name of the game implies, you’ll need to take down a brainwashed Justice League in order to successfully complete your mission. As usual, Amanda Waller fits these villains with bombs in their heads that will explode if they choose to disobey orders or go off-mission in exchange for reduced sentences and other perks if they choose to sign up.

The Suicide Squad was introduced in DC comics but has definitely gained a lot of attention in recent years thanks to not just one but two different movies about the villain-turned-government-agent team. The first film was the negatively reviewed David Ayer-directed version, and the second was the James Gunn version that was the beginning of Gunn’s relationship with DC. Gunn would later become the de facto guide for the ongoing film, video game, and television universe of the newly minted DCU.

Kill The Justice League Releases In 2024

Now, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, fans will get a chance to finally play as some of these fan-favorite characters. Even more unique, they’ll get to face off with characters who would usually get their own video game first, like Superman or the Flash. Of course, those who have controlled Batman in the Arkham games over the years will undoubtedly get a kick of having the tables turned as they face off against the fearsome Dark Knight himself.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to hit shelves and virtual stores on January 30, 2024. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows. Make sure to check it out and cross your fingers for this Killer Croc DLC rumor to be true.
