You can always count on Jennifer Lopez to hit us with stunning looks on Instagram. In her latest post, the singer and actress is sporting a fantastic white ensemble with a Fendi belt. More importantly, J Lo was taking to the ‘Gram to promote a good cause — supporting Latina small business owners to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
It’s always great to see a beloved celeb like Jennifer Lopez using their platform for good. Her chic white suit gave her the perfect professional look for the Grameen America Raising Latina Voices event. As a national ambassador for the nonprofit, J. Lo has to bring her A-game as she definitely brought it.
Grameen America is a nonprofit organization based in New York City. The organization’s goal is to provide resources — including financial assistance and education — to women in poverty looking to build a small business of their own. Jennifer Lopez began her ambassador role with them in June.
With J. Lo’s help, the organization is looking to reach 600,000 Latina entrepreneurs across 50 US cities by 2030. They also hope to provide six million hours of training and education along with $14 billion in business capital. With a savvy superstar like Jennifer Lopez on board, hopefully, they’ll be able to reach their goal and exceed it by their target timeline.
Jennifer Lopez certainly had a busy summer this year. Not long after accepting her ambassador role, J. Lo tied the knot with her long-time partner Ben Affleck at a small ceremony in a Las Vegas chapel in July. In August, the two had a much more elaborate wedding ceremony on Affleck’s 87-acre Georgia estate.
Ever the busy entrepreneur, Jennifer Lopez is getting right back into the swing of things after her nuptial bliss. The actress has four movies on her upcoming release slate, including Shotgun Wedding, The Mother, Atlas, and The Godmother. While none of them have their release dates set in stone, it seems likely that we’ll see Shotgun Wedding and The Mother next.
Shotgun Wedding is an action comedy about a couple having to save their family after their destination wedding is hijacked by criminals. Jason Moore directs with a script by Mark Hammer. Along with J. Lo, the film stars Jennifer Coolidge, D’Arcy Carden, Josh Duhamel, Callie Hernadez, and more.
The Mother will see Jennifer Lopez return to a more dramatic role as an assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she left early in life. Niki Caro directs with a screenplay by Andrea Berloff, Peter Craig, and Misha Green. J. Lo co-stars with Joseph Fiennes, Gael Garcia Bernal, Omari Hardwick, Yvonne Senat Jones, and Lucy Paez.
While we may get Shotgun Wedding and The Mother before the end of the year, we’ll have to wait a little longer for Jennifer Lopez’s sci-film Atlas and her druglord drama The Godmother. Atlas will co-star Sterling K. Brown and Simu Liu in a future where an AI soldier decides to end humanity. The Godmother will feature Lopez as the real-life drug lord Griselda Blanco.
