Amber Heard is no stranger to headlines. In 2021 she emerged as one of the most talked-about people in entertainment, due in large part to her ongoing troubles with ex-husband Johnny Depp. The very public legal battle that unfolded created quite a wave of backlash for the actress. While court appearances are expected to bleed over into 2022, the Aquaman star appears ready to put the drama behind her on Instagram.

The 35-year-old has been very active on the photo-sharing site lately. Followed by 4.1 million fans, Amber Heard recently shared a bunch of light-hearted images with inspiring captions. In her latest post, the young actress looks stunning in a strappy dress. The image was accompanied by a caption that simply says, “Still worth it.” The silk-looking, floral dress shows off her tattoos. She accessorized her look with dropdown ruby earrings to compliment her up-style hairdo and a few silver chunky bracelets.

Last year, Amber Heard almost broke the internet when she became a mom. The actress shared the happy news with fans in a post on Instagram. “I’m so excited to share this news with you,” she wrote. Her words were accompanied by a beautiful photo of herself cuddling her baby. The actress, who is currently in a relationship with cinematographer Bianca Butti, went on to say that approaching motherhood on her own terms gave her a new appreciation of how radical it is for women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.

In movie news, Amber Heard has earned quite a name for herself in Hollywood over the years. After a series of small acting gigs, she earned her first starring role in the 2006 horror film All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. She gained mainstream recognition in 2008 for supporting roles in the action film Never Back Down and the comedy Pineapple Express. In the time that followed, Heard appeared in films such as The Joneses, The Ward, The Rum Diary, Drive Angry, Machete Kills, and Magic Mike XXL.

After working very hard to master her craft, Amber Heard earned worldwide recognition when she joined the DC Extended Universe to play Mera in 2017. As such, she went on to star in superhero films like Justice League, 2018’s Aquaman, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021. In addition to acting, the DC star works as a global spokesperson for the cosmetics giant L’Oréal Paris and engages in human rights activism.

This year, Amber Heard will be gearing up for Aquaman 2 and possibly a bigger role in the highly-anticipated sequel. While there are no official plot details for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, James Wan is set to resume directing duties with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick returning to pen the script.

The film will see Jason Momoa reprising his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman alongside Amber Heard as Mera and Patrick Wilson back as Orm. Other returning cast members include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta as well as Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, and Dolph Lundgren. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
