Pamela Anderson has had a vast, fascinating career ever since she burst onto the Hollywood scene back in the 1990s. Next up, the 55-year-old actress, model, and TV personality has plans to appear in a documentary about the life and career of Brigitte Bardot, according to Deadline.

Fremantle recently acquired the global rights to the documentary about the French movie star, and we are very excited to see what they will do with them.

While there is still much to be learned about the production of the Brigitte Bardot documentary, we do know that it will explore the French actress’s fascinating film career as well as her equally intriguing personal life. Brigitte Bardot, who sported platinum blonde hair, dark eye makeup, and often sexy attire was a sex symbol in the 1950s and 1960s (right alongside Marilyn Monroe). She quickly rose to worldwide fame after her iconic role in the 1956 film And God Created Woman.

When Pamela Anderson first appeared in the hit TV series Baywatch and classic films like Barb Wire and Naked Souls, many people immediately noticed her striking resemblance to the famous Brigitte Bardot with her blonde hair, dark makeup, and stunning figure. The two actresses are both well known for the portrayal of strong, sexy female characters throughout their careers, but also for their love of animals and their work for animal rights activism. Brigitte Bardot created the Foundation Brigitte Bardot that helps rescue wild animals, while Pamela Anderson has been advocating for animal rights for years, even becoming an honorary director of PETA.

Working with documentaries is nothing new for Pamela Anderson, who just released her own Netflix documentary Pamela, a love story earlier this year. The new documentary shares real footage and diary entries from the sex icon, sharing how she rose to fame, elaborating on her many romantic partners and her notorious sex tape with then-husband Tommy Lee. Critics and fans alike have been enjoying the film, as it currently holds an impressive 98 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.2 out of 10 on IMDb.

Similarly, Hulu released their own biographical TV miniseries Pam & Tommy last year, which starred Lily James as Pamela Anderson and the MCU’s Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee. The eight-episode show shared all the juicy details about the Honeymoon sex tape that was created by the actress and the Mötley Crüe drummer before being leaked to the public. However, Hulu created the TV series without any involvement or permission from Pamela Anderson or Tommy Lee, which caused a lot of controversy around the series.

While we know Pamela Anderson will appear in the Brigitte Bardot documentary, fellow actors Paul Watson, Claude Lelouch, Allain Bougrain-Dubourg, and Jean-Max Rivière will also be involved in the film. Brigitte Bardot, who is now 88 years old, will also share her side of the story as she reflects on her historical and sometimes controversial life. We do not have a release date yet for when the documentary will air, but it will be available thanks to Fremantle.
