Beavis and Butt-Head Creator Reveals Whether They’ll Use R-Rated Language In Revival Series
The new Beavis and Butt-Head revival series is set to debut on Paramount+ on August 4th, and Mike Judge has revealed if the boys will be using R-rated language in the revival.
Beavis and Butt-Head was one of the best shows that have ever been created on MTV. Now, everyone’s favorite teenage duo is finally returning for Paramount+. Their revival comes on the heels of a film called Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe, which also premiered on the streaming platform. The great news is that the new series will also be accompanied by all 200 of the older episodes, with the music videos intact. Mike Judge has certainly outdone himself for this revival. The man also recently revealed the type of language we can expect from the boys in this revival. According to Judge, “I don’t know, like there’s something kind of naive and innocent about them that makes it work. There’s just something funny about a bunch of stupid phrases like ‘butt-wagon’ and ‘butt-munch.’ We won’t start playing with the F-word; we’re not really changing it.”
He does have a massive point in that Beavis and Butt-Head always seem to float above dropping F-bombs. Even though the entire show is crude as it gets, as they constantly refer to the male anatomy and masturbation, having them say cuss words would somehow ruin it. People often forget they are meant to be portrayed as teenagers too, so the more adult language might not be in their wheelhouse at all. We can honestly say that saying “butt-munch” holds a lot more hilarity than calling someone one of the more flavorful cuss words in the English language.
We are still going to see Beavis and Butt-Head on their couch watching the music channel and making fun of everything they see. The hope is that Mike Judge has some tricks up his sleeve, and we are going to be treated to the boy’s poking fun at more contemporary music. With the older episodes finally bringing back their accompanying music videos from that era, it could mean that Judge and Paramount have worked out some sort of music rights to deal to show newer music on the revival series. We may not be seeing the boys cussing at the TV, but we will surely hear them say plenty of this new music, “sucks!”
The Beavis and Butt-Head revival series is fast approaching, as it has a premiere date of August 4th, 2022. Starting tomorrow, fans can watch the crude pair get into some brand-new shenanigans. From the trailer alone, it still holds the same spirit as the series has held since the early 1990s. Also, for anyone wanting to get a day full of nostalgia, the entire old catalog will be available with remastered looks and music videos. We can’t wait to see this new revival.

Without Beavis and Butt-Head, we would not have been given the great King of the Hill. Hank Hill, or at least the origins of his character, was featured in the Beavis and Butt-Head series and films. Also, if anyone happened to not be alive when the show first aired, all older episodes will now be available to view as well. It is better that the boys are not cussing, because it wouldn’t feel right. The cussing can be left up to the kids of South Park.
