Tom Holland is hard at work on the set of Spider-Man 3 and fans are ravenous for any bit of info they can get about the production. The rumors and speculation surrounding the movie have been some of the wildest we have heard in a long time. With so many possible game-changing appearances being talked about in this movie, fans have hoped that some official looks at the film would help illuminate some of what is going on in this third entry for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of the web-slinging hero.

Well, Tom Holland has just shared our first real look at Spider-Man 3 through his Instagram account. In fact, it looks like the three lead actors have all contributed to this reveal with some very similar photos. The first photo shows off Peter Parker, MJ, and Ned Leeds all looking up into some unknown light source. This first photo does not tell us much on its own, but when we line it up with the other two photos, we start to get a better sense of what is going on.

The second photo shows Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon traveling down a staircase into what looks like some kind of underground area. When we line it up with the first photo, it seems like the three characters have discovered some important place and were looking up at what might be a door that is opening. Now, they have descended into the secret room.

The third photo has Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) hunched over his computer as Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and MJ (Zendaya) leaning over him. This is probably the most revealing photo as the room the three characters are in appears to be very old and even littered with ancient trinkets. There is even a strange item on the table in front of them. Could Ned be searching for information on this object?

If Spider-Man 3 is going as wacky with the multiverse as we have been told, could this room be some kind of old repository of magical artifacts? With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness scheduled to release after the next Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, could this place somehow link up to the mystical world and the Sorcerer Supreme himself? thanks to what we have learned from WandaVision, it seems like magic is going to play a major role in bringing the multiverse to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It looks like the Spidey crew is going to get mixed up in some serious magical affairs in this third entry.

Tom Holland is set to go where no other Spider-Man actor has gone before thanks to whatever shenanigans Spider-Man 3 decides to pull. Magic and mysticism seem like a pretty nutty place to take the wall-crawler, and these first photos seem to hint that that is exactly what we can expect when the next entry in the Spider-Man franchise is released on December 17. Get ready to start seeing a whole lot more about this next entry as the release date creeps ever closer on the calendar.
