Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming Paramount+ series is just around the corner. Tulsa King will see Stallone taking on a TV series lead role for the first time, and it looks like there will be plenty of mob action and intrigue. While we wait for the premiere, a teaser trailer has been released showing Stallone building his new crew in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and saying how he’s going to “own this city.”

While we don’t learn too much from the Tulsa King trailer, it’s plenty to lay out the basics. Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who just got out of prison after serving 25 years. Surprisingly, his boss sends him to Tulsa, Oklahoma to restart his life of crime. Manfredi decides to build a crew of his own to start a criminal empire in a place that is quite foreign to him. For those who love a good mafia story, this is shaping up to be the perfect TV series to check out. The series comes to us from creator Taylor Sheridan, who has blazed his own trail on TV with the Kevin-Costner-led Yellowstone and the subsequent spin-offs. Terence Winter is also onboard as a showrunner and writer. Winter is best known for his work on acclaimed gangster series like The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, so he’ll be well within his element here.

Tulsa King has a dynamite cast to go along with the impressive names that are running the show. Along with Sylvester Stallone, the series also stars Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Martin Starr, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, A.C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. Taylor Sheridan, Terence Winter, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Allen Coulter, and Braden Aftergood are all on as executive producers. You’ll be able to check out Tulsa King when it hits Paramount+ on November 13. The premiere will debut with the first two episodes.

Tulsa King may be the last project we see from Sylvester Stallone in 2022, but he’s gearing up for a huge 2023. He’s got two massive blockbusters on the horizon with The Expendables 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The Expendables 4, which reportedly has a massive budget, will feature the Expendables going up against an arms dealer with a huge army of pirates. As expected, the cast is filled top to bottom with modern and classic action stars. Along with Sly, the film will feature Jason Statham, 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Dolph Lundgren, Andy Garcia, Randy Couture, Sheila Shah, and many more. Scott Waugh directs the fourth entry of the ongoing series.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will see Sylvester Stallone return as Stakar Ogord after having a brief appearance in the previous film. James Gunn returns to write and direct this final entry to this iteration of the Guardians team. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Elizabeth Debicki all return. Newcomers include Daniela Melchior, Chukwudi Iwuji, Maria Baklova, and Will Poulter. Watch out for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 in theaters on May 5, 2023.
