Did you think the Spider-Man: No Way Home leaks were done just because the home release is coming out soon? Oh no, not remotely. Over the weekend, a video leaked revealing only a few seconds from a new scene featuring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil.

Released by the YouTube user Dizzy, the video is only two seconds long. Still, it manages to be pretty revealing. We see Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock sitting at a conference table next to Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Behind them is a man wearing a safety mask who is pointing and speaking to someone off screen. Judging by what little we hear this is probably Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts. We hear what sounds like Favreau’s voice in a voiceover saying, “One of the reasons I like working with Jon Watts so much is because–” and then the video cuts off. You can watch the very brief clip below.

Considering the voiceover, this is presumably a leaked slice of one of the featurettes from the home release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. There is someone sitting across from Cox and Favreau, though you can only see their hand. Since it’s only Happy who’s with Matt Murdock and not Tom Holland’s Peter Parker or Marisa Tomei’s May Parker, it seems likely this has something to do with the seemingly forgotten subplot involving Happy’s supposedly illegal acquisition of missing Stark technology. In Cox’s only scene that made it to the theatrical cut, his character warns Happy he’s going to need a good lawyer. Perhaps Happy hired Matt, or maybe the scene was meant to show Matt introducing Hogan to another lawyer.

As far as who the person sitting across from Cox and Favreau is, one possibility is that it’s Elden Henson reprising the role of Foggy Nelson. The final season of Netflix’s Daredevil ends with Matt, Foggy, and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) looking to start a new practice from the ground up, but a lot could’ve happened since then. Another possibility is that it’s Tatiana Maslany, who will soon be starring in Disney+’s She-Hulk as the titular hero.

Regardless of who the mystery lawyer is — assuming the person sitting across from them is a lawyer — the clip actually lends some credence to a leak from the beginning of February. A Twitter user with the handle Amit Chaudhari posted what they claimed was a leaked list of the Spider-Man: No Way Home featurettes. This included five deleted scenes, one of which was titled “Happy’s Very Good Lawyer.” You can see that tweet below.

For years, there had been questions about whether or not Daredevil and the other Marvel Netflix series were considered canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While some still aren’t 100% certain, Charlie Cox’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Vincent D’Onofrio’s appearance in Disney+’s Hawkeye have at the very least made it clear that the characters have a chance to return. Daredevil and the rest of the Netflix series start streaming on Disney+ tomorrow, March 16.
