The story revolves around Detective Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) investigating a murder connected to Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), a seductive crime novelist.

Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut is similar to Fair Play. It stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as Doctor Bill and Alice Harford, a couple whose marriage is shaken by their sexual fantasies. Driven by jealousy and desire, Bill embarks on a mysterious sexual odyssey through New York City’s underground scene.

Directed by Adrian Lyne, 1987’s Fatal Attraction is a cautionary tale about infidelity. Michael Douglas plays Dan Gallagher, a married man who has a brief affair with Alex Forrest (Glenn Close). When Dan tries to end the relationship, Alex becomes dangerously obsessed, leading to a series of terrifying events. The film is a gripping portrayal of the consequences of betrayal and obsession.

Unfaithful, from filmmaker Adrian Lyne, also shares an erotic theme with Fair Play. Starring Diane Lane and Richard Gere, the movie explores the turmoil that ensues when Connie Sumner has an affair with a stranger. As her husband uncovers the truth, the story delves into the emotional complexities of guilt, desire, and marital loyalty.
